★Zuihoden Mausoleum
Zuihoden is the mausoleum of Date Masamune, who promoted local industry of Sendai in Edo era. Zuihoden is surrounded by trees and located by Hirose River. Zuihoden is one of the bulidings of Momoyama style, so you feel this mausoleum as very gorgeous.

★Sendai Jo Castle Ruins
Sendai Jo Castle is built on Aoba-yama Mountain in 1602 by Date Masamune. However, Sendai Jo Castle was burned out in World War Ⅱ.　Today, there are some ruins, the statue of Date Masamune and Sendai Jo Castle Museum. You can also see magnificent views of Sendai city.

This museum shows armors, swords furniture, and so on related of Date Family.

★Oosaki Hachimangu Shrine
Oosaki Hachimangu is built in 1604 ordered by Date Masamune. The main building of this shrine, Shaden, was brought in Momoyama culture. Shaden is selected a national treasure in 1952 since it remains from foundation.

The cherry blossom viewing!!

Hey guys, Spring has finally arrived in Sendai!!
We, uranomi, are going to hold "Hanami" on 8th April.

What is "Hanami"?

"Hanami" is the traditional event of enjoying the blooming of "sakura"(cherry blossom) in early April.
It means the end of winter and coming of spring. Japanese celebrate this event by holding picnic parties under the beautiful cherry blossom!!
But the cherry blossom is short-lived.
Maybe a week or two week max.

So why don't you join our "Hanami"?
You can see beautiful "sakura" while drinking, eating, and talking with us.
We are looking forward to your participation!!

Shiogama tour

We, “uranomi” have made a tour trip to Shiogama. Shiogama is a port town near Sendai famous for it’s fresh seafood especially tuna. Also this town have a long history and there are places you can feel Japanese culture like Shiwahiko Shrine & Shigama Shrine. We are looking forward to your participation!

By the way, do you know “Uranomi”? “Uranomi” is made by students in Tohoku area to support sightseeing of foreigner and cooperate the event held by the company in Tohoku.

Enjoy fresh seafood by making your own seafood-don at Shiogama Seafood Wholesale Market. After that we will tour you to the Shiwahiko Shrine & Shiogama Shrine famous for its beautiful shrines. We will take a short break at a Japanese café and eat some delicious Dango (sweet rice dumpling).The last part of the tour is going to the KIRIN beer factory. After seeing inside the factory, you can drink free drink beer there!

Remarks
1. Public transportation will be used. Seating may not be available
2. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes as this tour will be on foot.
3. At the Shiogama Seafood Wholesale Market we will eat fresh seafood (Tuna, salmon, salmon roe, shrimp, oyster, scallop, etc.). Although you can choose which seafood to eat, it may be hard to enjoy the first part of the tour if you cannot eat seafood at all.
4. At Japanese café Osankochaya, we will eat five flavors of Dango. The flavor is nut, green soy bean, black bean, sweet soy glaze, sweet bean paste. If you have allergy to these foods please tell us beforehand.
5. Minors under 20 years of age and people who came to Sendai station by car (bicycle included) cannot consume alcohol. While minors may join this tour, they will be given non-alcoholic beverages at the KIRIN beer factory.
