News from the harbor for Sail GP June 16th and 17th, 2023:

Rolex United States Sail Grand Prix | Chicago at Navy Pier
June 16-17, 2023
Practice sailing will take place on Wednesday, June 14 (Time TBD)
Official practice racing will take place on Thursday, June 15 (4:00-5:30pm). Racing will take place Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 from 4:00-5:30pm. Exclusion zones each day will begin at 2:30pm.
F50 catamarans may be out sailing on Wednesday, June 14 at any time on the lakefront. no safety zone will be in effect and standard navigation rules will apply but please give the F50 catamarans plenty of space (i.e. give ample room for them to maneuver and don't make large adjustments to your speed or course around them.)
The Burnham Harbor southwest parking lot from O-S dock will be restricted starting Sunday, June 11 through Sunday, June 18. Please plan on parking and exiting through the south Burnham lot closest to the launch ramps/harbor office.
Please be mindful that the USCG will impose a race course boundary (see below) from June 15-17 on the waterway adjacent to/south of Navy Pier during practice and racing operations. These boundaries will be enforced by government agencies and race officials.
A 5 mph "transit lane" to the Chicago River Lock will always be available along the Monroe Harbor breakwall. Please plan extra time for congestion and transit times June 15-17.

When: June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
Start Time: 6:30pm
Please plan accordingly, we expect it to be VERY busy, especially on Friday. There are more than 50,000 attendees expected inside the concert venue. There has been a trend at other concerts where thousands of people have gathered outside of the concert venue so please be aware of this as well. The public parking lots open at 2:30 pm and we expect traffic to be busy from 2:30pm on. Come early and keep in mind you may have to show your parking pass to gain access to the area.
