This small project reminds me that there are a LOT of young talent out there. And they are chomping at the bit with their creativity and talent. I attempted to watch a 14 minute "documentary" the other day. Kudos to the creators for the efforts they've put in to telling a story. But they failed to grab their audience in the first 3 minutes of the piece. Yup, I had to hit the stop icon on the 3 minute mark. The treatment was just so outdated and boring. As a storyteller, I keep reminding myself to always listen to the pulse of who will be watching, listening, reading your story. Don't rest on the medals of your past achievements. Keep pushing yourself. Reinvent if you have to. Never stop learning. Appreciate the past but embrace the future. Because if you don't. A day will come when one of these Rebels will run you over. They are hungry and will eat you up. It will be over for you before you know it.
