We are offering a Remembrance Gathering ~ Dr. Gisela Schubach DeDemenico ~ Sunday, March 16 at 6pm. We invite those who studied with her in Lansing & Cobourg to join us for an hour to grieve our loss and to celebrate the gifts we received from our extraordinary teacher. We started before sunrise to join the local folks in morning alms, a giving exchange that opens the heart. A stroll through the busy, colorful morning market (wow, the fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, meats, spices!), a beautiful local cultural museum, and a village that made paper. We also visited (the very painful experience) UXO Museum. More in another post.

We have learned that on Monday, January 20, 2025 our dear beloved teacher and mentor, Gisela Schubach DeDomenico, died. For so many of us, she opened up worlds in the Sandtray and worlds that lived deep in us. She gave us tools to live our lives and help our clients. The very name of of our organization comes directly from her work “the growing edge”. For those of you touched by her work and are part of our community, please feel free to use this space as a place to reflect and share. We will also plan to have a Zoom gathering on her birthday in March to honor her life & work. Please share this with others who may not be on Facebook. More info to come.
May you feel the light of her in you as you light up the world around you. And always, always, live on the growing edge.❤️🙏🏽

Last day in Chiang Mai ~ shopping, flower making, visiting temples, delicious food, old town tour by rickshaw,. We ended the day atop the city at the spectacular Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple. Returning to the city and enjoying the night market. Off Cape Experiences

A day of immersion ~indigo dye making class~delicious foods~umbrella making factory & artists~visiting the home of a Thai family from the north, understanding their customs & beliefs~finishing the day with more delicious foods, that we were taught to cook!

Each year, in autumn, for 11 years, we’ve gathered together with advanced practitioners of the SandtrayWorldplay model. And here we are again, finding new parts of ourselves through the Sandtray journeying. What a sweet, rich, growing edge community gathering. Day 12: Today we said goodbye to one another. Patti, Ruth, Jane, & Barbara left at 6am to make their way back to Cape Cod. Jeanne & Joan departed at 10 am and are making their way to another adventure in Iceland. Merry & Peter spent another day in Oslo & will make their way to Iceland tomorrow! Adventures await! Dikke & Tina took the train to Stavern for time with family. “Borders? I have never seen one, but I have heard they exist in the minds of some people”- Thor Heyerdal. Day 11, part 4: We dined together, danced, ate ice cream, and loved on each other on the very festive Aker Brygge- on the eve of the gay pride festival & midsummer weekend celebrations. We ended our day paying a visit to the palace giving our respect to King Harald and Queen Sonja. Midnight sun was shinning on us!
