At Dibeen Eco Farm House, we strive to live in harmony with nature: eating simple farm food, tending chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and sheep, harvesting and pressing olive oil, planting a kitchen garden. Using th

e principles of permaculture, we recycle or reuse all that we can: kitchen waste feeds the chickens and sheep, grey water is filtered through reed beds to be used to water the fruit trees, and all biodegradable waste is composted. Our guests enjoy country walks, lazing around in the hammock, watching the sun rise and set over the surrounding mountains from our terraces, relaxing around a campfire sharing stories, meditating in a tranquil environment, having tea with our Bedouin neighbors, and horseback rides. Children especially are delighted to participate in our daily farm duties, such as herding the sheep, feeding the chickens, and gathering eggs. In the autumn, guests enjoy helping with the olive harvest. Our delicious olive oil is available to purchase. We offer our guests fresh farm eggs and seasonal fruits and vegetables when available, though guests should bring the food items they need for their stay. The charming guesthouse offers six bedrooms, each with a private bath and door opening onto a balcony, and shared living space that includes an open plan kitchen, dining area, and sitting room with a wood stove. The common space opens onto a large terrace with outside dining, both gas and charcoal grills, and a freshwater wading pool. To truly enjoy all of our amenities, including the exceptional views and the tranquility of true country living only 45 minutes from the bustling city of Amman, we recommend that guests stay at least two nights. This will give the best possible experience on the farm. We offer a 50% discount for the second night. The guesthouse is wonderful for yoga/meditation retreats, writers/artists retreats, and family gatherings. Nearby, there are numerous attractions, including exploring the Roman ruins and dining at the famous Um Khalil Lebanese restaurant, 20 minutes away in Jerash; hiking in Dibeen Forest, a 20-minute walk from the farm or visiting the Dibeen Forest deer reserve, 10 minutes away by car; and visiting the castle and forest reserve in Ajloun. The Dibeen Eco Farm House is conveniently located 40 minutes from Amman and one hour and 15 minutes from Queen Alia Airport. We’re happy to help you plan your stay in Jordan whether you’re staying in the North or exploring the wonders in the South. House rental:

Hand Over from Egypt is organizing their first workshop in Jordan with the participation and support of Taghmees Social Kitchen that will add the spirit of co-created learning, where everyone's knowledge is valued and appreciated. It is a 7-days intensive workshop program of design and hands-on/on-site building experience.

The hands-on technical sessions includes the following:
- Soil analysis and mixing tests.
- Designing and building an outdoor facility using Rammed Earth technique (highlighting the main architectural elements such as foundation, wall system & flooring).
- Creating adobe brick samples.
