Kiraly Saint Claire has been working with us for the past week, gathering and editing the videos from all the zoom-participants as well as filming the live performers in the studio. Join us today and see the beautiful video installation after the performances ❤️

Kiraly Saint Claire, a self-taught photographer/filmmaker who developed a practice from his initial desire to work choreographically with the moving body. A trained dancer with an eye for capturing the nuances of movement, his knowledge of dance bridges a gap that allows him to understand the essence of what movement creators seek to capture in their work. Having previously worked with Hagit, their collaboration is enriched by his understanding of the varied perspectives of her practice which allows for an ease of creative flow together.

✨Eva Martinez✨
«Having supported Hagit's work over the last decade in London, it is a pleasure to accept the invitation to be in dialogue with her as she embarked on the research of a new work, in a new chapter of her life in Norway. My role is to witness the ideas become embodied in the studio, be in dialogue with Hagit about her intention and support the articulation of what the work is saying, as a critical friend who knows her world well.»

Eva Martinez is a performing arts curator, producer, dramaturge and coach, most recently Artistic Programmer at Sadler’s Wells (2013-2020) where she curated distinctive UK based artists alongside international work, introducing new names to the theatre and supporting a new generation of artists. She was Dance and Performance programmer at Southbank Centre and at Dance4. A sought-after collaborator with an extended international network, she is known for her facilitative approach, championing experimentation and equity. Notable collaborations include dramaturgy for Siobhan Davies and Candoco. She is a certified life coach (ICF), Clore Fellow and a trustee of Pragrav Dance Company.

✨PSYCHE, music✨

«My name is Anna Klungre and I am a musician and composer working mainly with the voice as an instrument. I completed my bachelor’s degree in jazz vocals in 2020 and has since been working freelance as a musician and composer. In my music I like to explore the voice as an instrument and play around with different ways of using the voice, both in composed and improvised music.

When I was asked to participate in this project I immediately knew I wanted to join in. After working with Hagit in 2020 with the graduating dance class and seeing the beginning of this project with the online videos, I got so inspired to create music for it and excited to see where this project can go.»

Anna Klungre is a vocalist, pianist and composer currently based in Stavanger. She completed her bachelor’s degree in jazz vocals in 2020 and has since been working freelance as a musician and composer. In her music she explores the voice as an instrument and plays around with different ways of using the voice, both in composed and improvised music.

Dear all,
We hope you enjoyed these beautiful summer months!
During this break period, Inbar and I looked at all that was shared throughout this project during the lock-down months - you send us so many beautiful moments, reflections, and responses. We also revisited the wonderfully insightful conversations we had on Zoom and really felt how important it was to open up the discussion and introduce the story in that way.
What we are sharing with you today is a video composition, which incorporates for us the spirit and essence of Psyche's tale, and reflects the aesthetics of this project as it develops. We really wanted to portray an energy, sadly not all videos could be used in this version but the sensibility of all your contributions is there.
We hope you enjoy this share and we would love to know your thoughts.
Yours
Inbar and Hagit x

Our 4th breakfast ZOOM storytelling was another truly fascinating journey.

For two full hours we talked about Psyche's 4th task which led us to discuss the need/fear of letting go, saying no, selfishness and self love, and the complexity of beauty, vulnerability, acceptance and failure. It was deep and insightful and it left us all with lots of thoughts and wonders. Psyche's 4th task is not at easy one as it is:

Accepting Failure.

We cant wait to hear from you

Yours
Hagit and Inbar
