🚃🌤“HIGH RAIL 1375” - The train closest to the sky!👏

👀Do you know the HIGH RAIL 1375, one of JR East's "Joyful Train"?
🚃It runs on the Koumi Line, which connects Kobuchizawa Station in Yamanashi Prefecture and Komoro Station in Nagano Prefecture, and is also known as the Yatsugatake Kogen Line, which runs at the highest point in Japan.

The concept of this train is "The train that runs closest to the sky" which is so unique 🌈✨

👏The train's name is a combination of "HIGH" representing the characteristic height of the Koumi Line, "RAIL" for the track, and "1375m", the highest point on the JR line from Nobeyama Station to Kiyosato Station.👍 The interior of the car has a sophisticated design, with four-season constellation-themed seats and art-inspired walls that will make your trip even more enjoyable.📸

What is particularly attractive is the "HIGH RAIL GALLERY" in Car No. 2, where astronomy books are placed on round bookshelves. and the starry sky on the semi-dome bridge.📕 Isn't it a romantic train journey where you can see the starry sky while sitting on the train?💓

❄️In autumn and winter, the air is dry, the stars in the night sky look even more beautiful. If you are considering a trip to the Koshinetsu region, why not plan a trip with "HIGH RAIL 1375"?🧣

Oykot, Joyful Trains⛰
🚃Oykot is a sightseeing train on the Iiyama Line connecting Nagano (Shinano) and Tokamachi, was created around this concept of rustic Japan, with an interior meant to resemble your grandmother’s cozy countryside home.🌾
🌈The name "Oykot (おいこっと)" is written in hiragana, comes from "Tokyo" spelt backwards and is meant to be a contrast to the capital city’s fast-paced lifestyle🛖🌱

🌈✨Tonohetsuri is a scenic area with a series of strangely shaped rocks created by a million years of erosion and weathering. It has been designated as a national natural monument and is one of Shimogo Town's most representative scenic spots.🏔

🍀🌤The word "Hetsuri" may not be familiar to you, but it means "steep cliff" in the dialect of the Aizu region. It's a tower-shaped cliff with a suspension bridge over it and you can see part of it from inside.

Because of unique terrain, it was designated a national natural monument in 1943. Many different types of rocks have been named after their shapes. 🏔🏔Some of the cliffs are called 'husband and wife rocks', which you can actually visit and find! Be sure to visit as part of your fun adventure!

📣Why is the taste of Yamagata so appealing?😋

🚅This time, we will introduce local Yamagata products that are available on Yamagata Shinkansen.

🍍"Yamagata Pineapple Apple Cider"
Yamagata Pineapple Apple Cider has been popular as Yamagata's soul food for many years. Light yellow made from pigments extracted from safflowers in Yamagata Prefecture. Enjoy this local cider with its fruity aroma with lots of fizzy bubbles🥂🫧

🌭"Happy Chicken Sausage Without Additives"
The meat of hens that have laid eggs is characterized by chewiness and rich flavor. “Happy Chicken Sausage” was born by taking advantage of this feature. The more you chew, the deeper the flavor will spread in your mouth and you will be addicted, so enjoy.

🛍The products mentioned above will be available for purchase on Yamagata Shinkansen Tsubasa (between Tokyo and Yamagata) until around October 2023.
All of our attendants look forward to serving you.👮‍♀️

⛩Shiramizu Amidado, the only national treasure building in Fukushima Prefecture.

The Amidado building at Ganjoji Temple was constructed by Princess Tokuhime, daughter of the late Heian period (794-1185) warlord Fujiwara no Kiyohira, as a memorial to her husband, Iwaki Norimichi.🎎

🛖These famous landmarks sport dark curved roofs and the Pure Land-style garden are in harmony with each other, creating a graceful appearance.

🍁Autumn visits are especially recommended📸 The gradation of the yellow and bright red colours of the 600-year-old ginkgo tree beautifully adorns the Shiramizu Amidado Hall. (Late October - late November).

*During the autumn foliage season, the hall is lit up at night and the fantastic autumn colours illuminated in the evening darkness can be enjoyed even more.✨For the period of the festival in 2023, please check the official website for the latest information.
