The idea of Elegance Group PTY LTD began to appear in 2007 and slowly but surely grew to a concept. Elegance shall hopefully be the quintessential Elegance story, with various challenges and triumphs. The concept includes every ingredient: the small newcomer challenging established industry players, the people's champion focused on delivering better service, a company approaching untapped target m

arkets and challenging current pricing models, aiming to develop a reputation for quality products and innovative product development. The entire Elegance Group, with its different targets and divisions, was created as an offshoot of Max Hussmann’s ideas for the consumer-led industry. Recognising that passengers are tired of being treated to the accustomed process associated with air-travel, irrespective of corporate or commercial airline travel, Max decided that it was time for Elegance to set and achieve the goal of becoming the industry-leading aviation specialist focused on offering the public as well as corporates an alternative in service and quality excellence. Since then, Elegance Group PTY LTD has developed several devisions that form part of the group: Elegance Air PTY LTD, Elegance Aviation Consulting and Elegance Sports Consulting. Elegance Air PTY LTD's aim is simple: "To provide the most innovative service of the best quality, for the best value-for-money in a suitable corporate aircraft environment." Max's personal goal is to develop Elegance Group's status as an award winning Newcomer Company with global recognition. To achieve this, Elegance will continue to pioneer a range of innovative solutions to set new standards in aviation service and quality. Elegance Aviation has a footprint in Germany, Hong Kong, South Africa and Brazil since 2012 to ensure our clients receive personalised service. Cologne is an important location for Elegance, because of the proximity to the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg, Germany’s financial capital, Frankfurt, as well as Germany’s former capital Bonn. Cologne is also home to the largest insurance companies.

We would just like to wish a warm congratulations to the CEO of Elegance Group, and its affiliates, Max Hussmann on becoming an official board member of the Austrian Business Chamber!

This is a huge honour as Mr Hussmann was specially selected and invited to join the board as a Director. Being a young European working in South Africa, Max is looking forward to getting more involved in the local European scene and hopes to translate these opportunities into working ideas for South Africans. Improving the trade between these multiple nations has been a key point of focus for Max and, having succeeded so far, has much to show for it.

This announcement follows an article published by Forbes Africa in May describing his African background and German heritage. In this article he elaborates on his vision for Elegance and what has inspired him to persevere in the aviation and sports industries. Mr Hussmann also has a nomination for the CNBC All Africa Business Leader Awards 2014 for the category as: “Youngest Business leader and Entrepreneur South Africa”.

And so we wish Max good luck on this new venture and wish him a prosperous new year in the ABC. May he use his integrity and energy to push to new heights!

Aerial survey is a method of collecting geomatics or other imagery by using aeroplanes, helicopters, UAVs, balloons or other aerial methods. Typical types of data collected are aerial photography, LiDAR, remote sensing (using various visible and invisible bands of the electromagnetic spectrum, (such as infrared, gamma, or ultraviolet) and also geophysical data (such as aeromagnetic surveys and gravity. It can also refer to the chart or map made by analysing a region from the air. Aerial survey should be distinguished from satellite imagery technologies because of its better resolution, quality and atmospheric conditions. Today, aerial survey is sometimes recognized as a synonym for aerophotogrammetry, part of photogrammetry where the camera is placed in the air. Measurements on aerial images are provided by photogrammetric technologies and methods.

Aerial surveys can provide information on many things not visible from the ground.
