Over 5 million lights decorate the 100,000 sqm. gardens touching the hearts of all visitors. Most of the bulbs are LED type in an effort to consider the environment and to save energy.

Located in the area facing the Pacific Ocean in the city of Hitachinaka, Hitachi Seaside Park provides beautiful flowers in the well-kept large gardens throughout the year. In spring, narcissuses, tulips and nemophila (baby blue eyes) attract lots of visitors. In early summer poppies and roses, and in summer zinnias and sunflowers will bloom. In autumn, you can enjoy and kochia (summer cypress) that are changing their color gradually, and cosmos flowers. In winter, ice tulips can be seen, and all of the flowers are colorful and beautiful in the well-designed gardens. Kawaguchiko Autumn Festival
(November 1~23, 2019)

Here are several scenic view spots around the festival sites. Near the lake (about 150m away) ,the most popular autumn leaves spot is Momiji Kairo (もみじ回廊) a.k.a. Maple Corridor which is a walkway lined by over 60 maple trees with autumn colour leaves. The trees with red, yellow and orange leaves stretch for about 2km, displaying the stunning scenery.
The festival can be enjoyed even after dark as the light-up of the autumn leaves takes place after the sunset (around 4:30~) till 10 pm every night.

During the festival, there will be a market with small vendors selling seasonal foods, drinks, and local products and souvenirs.

Ashikaga Flower Park has more than 350 wisterias, at their peak in spring when the Park's variable entry fee is the highest. The most memorable displays are the wisteria tunnels up to 80 m (87 yards) long that the visitor walks through enjoying the beauty of the pendulous racemes from below. There are various colors of wisteria to be seen, such as pink, purple, blue, and white--lavender being the most plentiful when flowering.
