Did you see the Imagine Bamboo story on BBC Northwest Tonight? It will give you an idea of some of the weird and wonderful bamboo creations you can see at Thurstaston tomorrow. The family-friendly event, which helps celebrate Wirral Country Park's 50th anniversary, runs from 11am - 4pm. #WCP50
It's the eighth and final day of The Open, and the Championship will be decided. We couldn’t be prouder to host this incredible event.
Even on a grey day, you'll find so many places to eat, drink and shop near The Open course. Explore Market Street in Hoylake or venture into West Kirby and we guarantee you'll find somewhere amazing to dry out and fill up.
Day two of The Open Championship back in Hoylake and the place is buzzing, the sun has been shining and thousands of visitors have been enjoying the golf, and a warm welcome from Wirral.
125 volunteers from as far away as Scandinavia, 1,200 hours helping visitors, 412,000 steps walked by our team leaders (we might need some plasters), and we’re not even half way through. Thank you Shannon and all of our volunteers! 👍
USA 🤝 Wirral
Lots of Americans have made the trip across the pond for The Open. Loved meeting some of our visitors and hearing how they're enjoying their time here 🇺🇸
Getting bus at Royal Liverpool with Open crowds arriving from across the globe...if you've got tickets then North Parade is the main drop-off and pick-up point for the Park and Ride service. If you're arriving by train, Merseyrail has a regular service to Hoylake.
Denmark ↔️ Wirral
Poul visits Wirral every summer with his wife. This year, he's volunteering at The Open and ahead of the tournament, he's feeling the buzz around Hoylake.
Arriving for #TheOpen? North Parade is the main drop-off and pick-up point for the Park and Ride service and if you're arriving by train, Merseyrail has a regular service to Hoylake.
