Helpful tip coming at you. ⬇️When I struggle to narrow down resort or hotel choices for client itineraries I have one tried and true method I always go back to, and it’s this:

I always go back to what they tell me on our trip planning call about the type of trip they want. Having experienced numerous destinations and hotels/resorts, does allow me a broad knowledge of what may be the best fit.

Not every resort or hotel is a good fit for every type of travel experience. And truthfully, even the ROOMS at different hotels and resorts can offer a different experience.

How you want your trip to feel is an important thing to consider. It will help you get clarity on where to go and where to stay.

The nostalgia is so real today! 🫶

The very first itinerary I ever planned was to Jamaica for a couple who couldn’t wait to go on their honeymoon, and I’m taking a minute to appreciate how far I’ve come!

It’s been 13 years since I opened my agency, and now I’m planning Destination Weddings/Honeymoons and still very happily planning group and family getaways too for my amazing list of clients. The WORLD is our Oyster. 🌏

Time truly flies when you’re having fun — and of course, being kept on your toes by an industry that continues to evolve and change.

🧭But do you know who does that? Travel advisors, of course! I even use additional resources and tools that might not be available to the general public to ensure they stay up-to-date on anything that might affect your trip.

Are you booking flights right now? Avoid this mistake!✈️ 🧳⬇️

🧭You need to book a flight, so you head online, you do a search, and you click the lowest price you see on Google, book it, and off you go.

🧭But here’s the thing, flights have been getting canceled frequently lately. Did you know that if you book direct with an airline and need to make a change, there are no longer change fees?

🧭 Would you like to choose your seat and know if your bags are included?
Sign up for the FREE Mileage Account with each airline you generally use and build miles and points !
Once you receive a certain status, you may even have Preferred Seating options and Free Bags!

🧭And, if you are in a situation where you need to rebook due to a cancellation, you may have other options and receive a future air credit.

🧭 If you’re booking directly with the airline, they’re required to fix the problem.

🧭But if you’re booking with a discount site like Expedia or Travelocity, you’re out of luck. They won’t eat that cost for you, and they’re less inclined to care about whether you’re unhappy.

🧭This is just another reason to avoid online booking sites.

Is it time to renew your passport? Here are a few do’s and don’ts

DON’T wait until it’s expired.

DO try to start the process at least nine months before

DO check your expiration date before booking a trip. Some destinations require passports that are valid for at least six months after your departure date. Some airlines won’t allow you to board if you don’t meet this requirement.

DO keep an eye on processing times. Right now, renewals can take anywhere from 5-11 weeks.

DO work with a travel pro like me, so your travels are stress-free. One of the things I keep an eye on is the expiration dates on my clients’ passports.

Travel Tip: Save Space
When packing for a trip, do you roll your clothes or use packing cubes? I have a rack that I pull out a week before and do a day by day of what clothing I need.
Hats, jewelry, shoes, casual, swimwear, evening events, toiletries, etc.
Then I use packing cubes to keep the outfit together. This saves some space and keeps me organized!

Dont forget to save some room for souvenirs you find on your vacation! 🧳👝👜🎒

Very thankful and grateful to @sayheyitskimmie and her husband Greg for sharing her amazing post yesterday as the returned from their stay at Sandals Southcoast with @krange89 and her husband who were attending a wedding with other friends. My first message from them after the hurricane had past, was one of positivity and gratefulness for the staff who stayed on property to ensure their safety and care.. Their own comfort was secondary to their offer of help to this phenomenal sacrifice in such a difficult time. I cannot speak highly enough of the Sandals family in all destinations which experienced this uncertainty. Noone could predict any of this but human life, spirit and heart is the most important!. Not enough words to explain but the Lockett's and Range's have my sincere gratefullness in navigating such a difficult event. One Love epitimizes it all 🫶💚🖤💚🇯🇲

Sometimes, the solution is as simple as getting out of your head and your environment and seeing another part of the world. But can we talk for a minute about the quality of your Holiday? It could be a quick 4-night getaway to Mexico or a two-week stay in Greece or Italy. Here are a few things I've found make all the difference in whether my trips (and the trips of my clients) are great instead of just average. Personalization - This one is totally underestimated, but there are so many places you can go to and hundreds of thousands of hotels and resorts where you can stay. My picks and recommendations are based on all of the information I file away about my clients and how they specifically like to travel. Pre-Planning - It's a total dream when you can arrive at the destination with the little details already taken care of. The airport transport company is waiting, or the rental car company; your tours and experiences are taken care of, so you can breathe easily. An Advocate - When flights get moved or canceled, or you decide you want to stay longer, it's nice to have someone who can step in and move mountains to make things happen quicker for you so you can enjoy your time, not spend it on hold or at the front desk.
