Our Story

Founded on the Hunter Coast of NSW by Dominic May in 2018, we began with the vision to 'create innovative coastal interactions and experiences’. Dom is passionate about the Hunter Coast, and believes CoastXP’s tours highlight some of Australia’s most beautifully stunning coastal landmarks.

Dom is an Ocean Enthusiast whose passion for the marine environment led him to working in some of Australia’s most scenic coastal locations including Heron Island, North Stradbroke Island, Coffs Harbour, Lord Howe Island, Port Stephens and Sydney. Having grown up in Coffs Harbour, Dom completed his studies at the University of Newcastle and now calls Newcastle home. Dom has also studied at The University of Tasmania, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

CoastXP is actively involved in enhancing the destination image of Newcastle and the Hunter Coast. We regularly collaborate with The University of Newcastle, local organisations and the broader community to showcase our beautiful region.
