It's been a wet few days in Derby with the recent flooding and chaos. But did you know Derby has a long history of flooding (and of course some ghost stories)?

Back in 1842, Derby was subject to “the great flood” where the river burst its banks and filled the streets. There are still a couple of markers around the city, but the most well-known and spotted is the small plaque on the right of the door to the, now, Bess of Hardwick Pub. It is said that a young boy unfortunately perished in the cellars of the pub, as the water came rushing in.

There have been countless reports from customers and staff of hearing bangs and cries from the cellars, and even a few sightings!

We are thrilled to announce that both the Cathedral Quarter and Crime and Punishment tour have nearly sold out! With this in mind we will be looking at adding more dates for November and December over the next few days.

We have 2 new exciting tours to share with you, If you dare!
The Cathedral Quarter Halloween Tour, at 5pm on the 31st of October, and the Crime and Punishment Tour at 7pm on the 1st November.

Both can be booked using the link on our page or on the event pages on our Facebook!

Each Tour lasts around 2 hours and features a collection of spooky stories, horrible history, and a few bad jokes along the way.

What an amazing evening we had at The Old Bell Hotel Derby last night on the ghost tour! It was lovely to meet you all and hear some of your stories.

Our next tour at the Old Bell is December 7th, and we will be launching our Derby City tour in January!

Hello everyone, It's been a while! I've got some excellent news! Starting this weekend we will be hosting tours again.

The best thing about it, is that they are all free!

Over the past few months we have been in talks with the Derby Ram Trail, Cathedral Quarter Derby, St Peters Quarter Derby and Derby Museums. We are now proud to present 4 walks completely free of charge. There will be 2 ghost walks, and 2 historical and cultural walks, both supplementing the Derby Ram Trail 🐏.

It's incredibly short notice but the first 2 walks are actually this Saturday. Links to all the booking details, covid precautions and all the nessecary information will be posted over the course of today!

Safe to say we're very excited to be bringing you these tours, and we look forward to seeing you all very soon!
