Did you know that the tallest fountain in the world is located in Saudi Arabia?

King Fahd's Fountain in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest fountain in the world! Located on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, the fountainshoots water almost 1,000 feet in the air. The Fountain was named after King Fahd as he donated it to the city of Jeddah. Inspired by the Geneva Fountain, King Fahd's Fountain was intially constructed in the period between 1980 to 1983 but the planners were not satisfied by its speed, so it was modified and started to operate in its current form in 1985.
