Better late than never with a BIG thank you to the Smith family for having me help plan their beautiful Disney cruise on the Dream!
That first view of the ship is so amazing! But, you do have to go through check in process before you board. Disney of course has magical touches that make it special.
🚢 30 days before you cruise, you can choose a Port Arrival Time. Some people choose to be at the port early, and some want to arrive and have their room already available for them. We chose to arrive in the first arrival time at 11am! We wanted as much time as we could on the ship!
🚢 You will not be able wait at the port until your time has been called
🚢 Once you arrive you will drop off your checked bags with a porter. Make sure you have your Disney luggage tags on those bags! They will arrive at your room shortly after your room is available- usually around 1:30pm
🚢 Once called inside, you’re immediately greeted with smiles, and Disney cast members waving with Mickey hands! So fun!
🚢 You do have to go through security with your carry on bags.
🚢 After security you go and do your check in process. Here a cast member will check your photo ID and birth certificate or passport.
🚢 After check in you go to the waiting area. You wait for your boarding group to be called. We were lucky to have gotten group 2, so our wait was only about 15-20 minutes!
🚢 Disney photo pass will be waiting for you on your way into the ship. They will take a few nice group pictures with a Disney Cruise background!
🚢 Cue the chills. Seeing the ship up close and having your family’s name announced as you walk in is a core memory! And you might just get lucky and get to see Captain Mickey!

Riviera is the newest DVC resort, and one my new favorites! It is so elegant, but has a lot of Disney charm and fun! Beautiful outside murals, lawn games, and great pools, make it a great resort for families. It is right on the skyliner, so easy transportation! Lots of great food options, including this DELICIOUS banana bread! My room review coming soon!
Did you know that you can meet Mickey at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom? He’s in his beautiful 50th Anniversary outfit, and there’s almost never a wait! So much fun. ❤️
Our last day, back at Magic Kingdom. Freezing and windy day! Did the inside attractions plus a very cold ride on Astro orbiters 🥶met Mickey in his great 50th Anniversary outfit, and saw the cavalcade! Ended the night with Enchanted fireworks. What a fantastic trip to Disney World!
Finally catching up to post about Day 3 at Hollywood Studios! Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, All 3 Toy Story And Star Wars Rides, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy and great food like the Num Num cookie!
Day 2 Animal Kingdom! Flight of Passage, Festival of the Lion King, Safari, Kite Tails. Much better weather today! Can’t wait for Day 3.
Day 1 of our Disney trip! Riviera, Magic Kingdom, Lightning McQueen, Characters, the castle and Big Thunder Mountain! So much fun.
