Trips for Knitters Relax, renew, connect and learn while exploring cultures, scenic sights, great food and drink. Of course, we're knitting as much as we can.

We're retiring! Due to the rising cost of travel, the impact of travel on climate change, age, and financial losses related to the pandemic, Trips for Knitters is retiring. After years of providing quality knitting events in special places, this was a difficult but practical decision.

An enormous, heartfelt THANK YOU to those who did get a chance to travel with Trips for Knitters. The unique experiences and connections with others provide us with wonderful memories to enjoy … we have some great ones!

Perfect little gift for every traveler or wanna be.

With each purchase, I’ve been adding a little coin purse, as a thanks.
However, while each can only yield one or two garments, there’s plenty left over for these sweeties, so I’ve listed some on my site. There’re only $12 and they make an awesome stocking stuffer!

Paige has some great tees for sale. Check out her Mabel label too. She’s not letting lack of travel hinder her creativity. Support small businesses.

In a not-so-long-ago life, I made t-shirts for makers. There’s some backstock I’m eager to part with, so they’re all on sale, while supplies last.
Psst—they make great stocking stuffers!
Go to my linkin.bio to grab yours (oh, and I’ll pick up the shipping!)

Yarnability

Turn your thoughts to color and form and join Susan from Trips for Knitters for this online class. Karen at Yarnability can do Zoom shopping to help you pick yarn.

Zackig! These fingerless gloves are for those who find colorwork too troublesome but still like to have something colorful on their hands. Learn a unique mitt construction that does not require knitting in the round, (except for the thumb). Starting with a striped panel that works into the thumb, stitches are then picked up and worked in a mosaic pattern… [ 249 more words ]

Breathe and Hope Shawl: LYS Day special | Yarnability

Here’s a great project for LYS day, something we used to celebrate when we could go to the yarn shop. Karen’s worked it out to make this kit available for pick up or mail. Support small business: the designer, the yarn dyer, the local yarn shop.

April 25 was scheduled to be the 2020 Local Yarn Store Day, and while it has been postponed to September, this weekend we are thrilled to offer this year’s 2020 LYS day shawl pattern, “Breath and Hope”, generously provided for FREE (limited time) by knitwear designer, Casapinka. Yarnability ha...
