🌟 Is this your favourite month of the year? All the twinkly lights, celebrations and excitement makes it mine and I keep telling myself the lists will get ticked off so stay calm!
🌟 For the first time ever, all our cottages are full over Christmas and then NY so we will be busy decorating on Friday ready for our guests.
🌟 Have a lovely Sunday, I am definitely starting my day by adding some Christmas twinkle to our home with candles and lights… what plans do you have?

Happy Friday ❤️ here’s to sunny 26 degrees☀️ 🥂
We have guests leaving all three cottages this morning with only guests arriving to Blossom cottage today so it’s a rare Friday with Chestnut and Woodcarvers cottages available all week!
If you fancy some Yorkshire air and a change of scene, get in touch for a late booking (link in bio).

What lovely people, we loved the Salt family; they have spent the past few years renovating a barn and it was so interesting hearing about the challenges they have faced along the way. We hope to see them again ❤️

⭐️ I’m delighted to report the Head gardener and her assistant are now back together again…
The undergardener has been given his Friday jobs ready for tomorrow and although he has to take it easy for a few weeks he did take a little spin out earlier and said it felt very good!

⭐️ For my beauty clients, I will return to beautifying on Tuesday 4th June so if you’d like to book an appointment, message me directly 😊

⭐️ For our holiday cottage guests, we have loved having you here over the past few weeks and appreciate your kindness and look forward to welcoming our new guests tomorrow.

⭐️ One last thing to say, we will never ever forget the kindness of our friends and family over the past few weeks, we are so lucky ❤️.

What a nice spot for an early morning coffee ☕️ Sitting here, you can watch our three Ryland sheep (Cookie, Curly and Clover) waking up in the paddock opposite while next doors Cockerill gives a ‘cockadoodledoo’ to get the day started and the birds are always tweeting.
I’d sit here all day if I could because the old American Oak also shades you from the sun which we are starting to see lots of, hooray!

Balmy May evening ~ how long we’ve waited for this… what a beautiful day it’s been.
Our guests in the cottages have had two sunny days this week, that’s actually more than anyone else has had for about 6 months!
We’ve had some lovely guests this week and we look forward to welcoming our new guests to all three cottages tomorrow. Cow parsley going in the welcome basket bouquets tomorrow ❤️

Morning coffee, ☕️ one of life’s little luxuries.

For me, stopping for a coffee is a huge treat and I’ll make sure I do that this weekend. We love treating our guests to as we think their coffee is the bees knees 🐝 and we love to share Yorkshire brands with our guests. What’s your favourite coffee? It’s beginning to look… 🎄 ⭐️ 🎅 The last few weeks have been very busy with guests so we’ve been a bit quiet on the gram. We’ve got guests this week then next Friday it’s project Christmas prep as we have people staying for Christmas in all 3 cottages. We also have family staying in our house so @claire_laycock_ and I have our work cut out but as usual we will make it fun.
