Today we did the Cinque Terre hike. The section that has been closed for 12 years reopened in July so it was pretty cool to get to do the whole hike. Just under 10 miles with some exploring and 2647’ of ascent. We started in Riomaggiore and ended at Monterosso and somehow I ended up in a beach chair with a beer in my hand. What a great day.

For anyone considering the Galapagos Amazon Tour, I have a room block until the end of next week for the Amazon. If you are leaning toward joining me, it would be helpful to get the registrations done by next week. We need 3 more people to meet the minimum numbers for Galapagos. I don’t have a minimum for the Amazon portion so long as the Galapagos minimums are met .

Hiking PLUS river fun and waterfalls galore… we had two groups today on this beautiful hike along the river . It was great to be able to cool off and have a little fun on our short stops to the waterfalls at the end of our hike. The natural rock slide was the highlight of this hike for me .

Our first hike was along the Deschutes River with short breaks at numerous waterfalls along the way. We were up a little higher in altitude and had plenty of shade and the weather was sunny and beautiful.

Day 1: And we are off and running with my one week event in Bend Oregon . Today we hike and have an optional river float on the Deschutes River .

Today we wrapped up our Machu Picchu trip for this year by going to Rainbow Mountain. It was a really great day with fresh air and wind in our hair!
