I had heard about this but it happened to me and realized all the red flags before i got taken in. A client wanted to change their flight and i went to call the air line reservations number. I called the number but the connection was slightly muffled and the person on the phone was foreign(but it was an international flight so thought that was fine). She asked me flight number and booking number, name of passenger and then credit card number and airline. I told her i was hanging up. When you look up airline numbers, you can’t google because they are not always genuine Airlines. You need to make sure it is the official airline with their logo. Google is taking steps to correct the problem, but not fast enough. This just happened today. Please be aware.
