A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of spending 10 days at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House. It is our favorite Disney resort. As soon as you pass thru the gate you feel transported to Africa as you go up the driveway and approach the Lodge. Here are my favorite unique things about this resort:

Dream Come True Vacations celebrated 20 years this year. We had the chance to get together for some training and time together in the parks. It was great to be together again with our agents I’ve met before and to meet several agents for the first time. We are staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House. Celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and the 20th anniversary of Dream Come True Vacations. Had dinner at Sanaa on our first night. We were seated at the only table for 2 by the window and had an amazing view of the savanna. Their bread service is one of my favorite dishes on property! A gold crested crane was very interested in it, too, it seemed.

My Walt Disney World clients often ask me: “But, do I really need to visit Disneyland, if I’ve been to Walt Disney World?” Let’s dive into this a little bit:

First, let me just say…the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are NOT THE SAME! Would you tell someone they shouldn’t try the strawberry dusted churro because they already tried a traditional churro? No way! And by the way, Disneyland churros are hands down a MILLION times better than Walt Disney World!

✨Disneyland Resort is nostalgic, whimsical, intimate. The 2 parks are directly across from each other and Downtown Disney is just a few steps away. You don’t ever have to fold a stroller here! Plus, Disneyland Park is the park that Walt built. You can almost feel his presence there and he had a hand in creating so many of the attractions there. And you never know who you might run into. Here characters roam free. I saw Peter Pan riding the carrousel while Pinocchio stood at the ride entrance and waved at him! Disney California Adventure is home to lands and attractions you cannot find anywhere else like Radiator Springs Racers and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.

🏰 Walt Disney World Resort is sprawling, immersive, iconic. I mean, Cinderella Castle is one of the most photographed icons in the world! Because of the land being snatched up around Disneyland, Walt wanted more space for his Easy Coast park. 43 square miles is pretty big! I love how Walt Disney World is like its own city and there is so much hidden magic. It’s so exciting driving up to parks like Magic Kingdom and EPCOT and catching a glimpse of the Castle or Spaceship Earth.

⭐️Both resorts are over and beyond Magical…both will certainly transport you and give you a place to leave all of your worries behind….both are definitely must-see and must-do. Because, both are so completely and excitingly different from one another.

How far is it from Disneyland to California Adventure? About 100 steps! You could see each park’s nighttime shows-Mickey’s Mix Magic at Disneyland and World of Color-ONE at California Adventure- on the same night.

Were you able to guess where I’m going next week? I’M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!! I’ll be attending an Agent Education Program with 9 other members of my agency along with agents from around the country.
This will be my first official visit. I was born in LA and my dad and mom went while she was pregnant with me but I don’t count that as a visit. I’ll be staying at the Disneyland Hotel and will have the chance to tour the other Disney resorts during my trip. Stay tuned to my IG AND FB page so you can follow along with my travels!
