Family Matters Inc. ("FMI") issues gift vouchers to its customers. Each voucher is an opportunity to suggest an appropriate experience for the recipient of the voucher but if the recipient would prefer a different experience, the voucher can also be redeemed by the recipient for a range of other activities. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the descriptions and pictures contained within the FB Page and on gift vouchers are a true reflection of the events in respect of which the voucher may be redeemed, these do not form part of a contract. If on contacting the operator to redeem your voucher you feel that the activity taking place no longer accurately represents the activity shown on the Family Matters Inc. FB Page, FMI will exchange the voucher or refund the purchase price. Once a specific date has been booked, you will automatically become bound by the terms and conditions that individual operator may have. Please note that experiences are subject to change without notice. This does not affect your statutory rights.
1. Prices
The prices of specific experiences against which gift vouchers can be redeemed which are displayed on our website are correct to the best of our knowledge and maintained on a periodic basis. In the event of a voucher being issued at or redeemed against an accidental incorrect price, we will endeavour to inform the purchaser of the error within seven days of the voucher purchase / voucher redemption being made, we will allow the recipient to either obtain a full refund against the voucher or choose to pay the additional difference in price. Promotional discount codes can only be redeemed against certain experiences.
2. Availability
FMI sells vouchers which are valid for 3 months from the date of issue (unless otherwise stated) and each recipient is free to book their preferred date for their chosen experience. Each gift voucher is valid for a maximum of 3 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A voucher will be deemed to be invalid if it is out of date (the validity date is clearly stated on the voucher). Vouchers can only be extended if they are still inside their expiry date. If the customer or recipient is unable to utilize the voucher before the expiry date then, the facility to extend vouchers is offered for a standard admin fee. Vouchers purchased on Special Offer may not be extendable (in these instances this will have been clearly stated at the time of purchase). Once a voucher has been extended it cannot be refunded. FMI recommends that all vouchers are redeemed and experiences booked and taken before the expiry date on the voucher
Cancellations
Once you redeem your voucher and book a specific date with FMI partner operator you are bound by the terms and conditions regarding cancellations. Once a date is confirmed with an operator it is not possible to change this date unless the operator agrees to the change. Where a date cannot be altered by an operator it will not be possible to issue a refund. FMI Partner Operators
When redeeming your voucher and booking an experience with a FMI partner operator you will be entering into a separate agreement with the operator and will be bound by their own terms and conditions, including any restrictions applied by that operator. Although FMI has sought to select highly experienced operators, the Operator shall be solely responsible for the safety standards or the quality or delivery of the experience. By purchasing or redeeming a FMI voucher, you acknowledge that the experience in respect of which the voucher will be redeemed is dependent on certain factors beyond the control of FMI and you agree that neither FMI nor any operator shall be liable for the cancellation, postponement or alteration of any experience for reasons beyond its reasonable control, including weather-related reasons or otherwise. The total liability of FMI for any claim whatsoever in connection with the FMI voucher or any experience in respect of which a voucher is redeemed shall be limited to the price paid for the experience voucher. Top-Ups & Credits
FMI vouchers are flexible and can be used for the whole range of experiences available. In order to achieve this, vouchers can be exchanged free of charge at the point of voucher activation. Gift vouchers can only be exchanged for alternative gift vouchers so the parity code has to belong to the same group of gift experiences. If the substituted experience in respect of which the voucher is being exchanged costs more than the original voucher you must pay a top up amount. If the replacement voucher/experience is lower in price we will issue an additional voucher for the difference. The replacement vouchers will e dispatched once the original voucher and full payment (if applicable) has been received by FMI. As all tangible goods are supplied by FMI partner third party operators it is not possible for us to exchange gift vouchers for any tangible products, such as perfume cases, wedding gift packs, hampers or flower extravaganzas. Refunds
You have the right to return any goods or vouchers within 15 days of receipt for a full refund. Once you or your recipient has redeemed your voucher and booked an experience with an operator you are bound by their Terms and Conditions. Please make yourself aware of these at the time of booking. All refunds will be made to the person who purchased the voucher and the monies will be refunded directly to the credit card. All refunds are processed at month-end and take between 2 and 3 weeks to show in the purchaser's account. To request a refund you MUST return your voucher / gift by recorded delivery to FMI, along with a covering letter detailing the reason for your refund request. Vouchers
All vouchers purchased will be dispatched by First Class Mail at the stated cost. You may request Courier delivery for an additional charge. FMI accepts no responsibility for the gift voucher if it has been tampered with or defaced by the customers, it will be deemed invalid. FMI accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen gift vouchers from the customers. Please keep the vouchers in a safe place and protect them as you would money. FMI does not accept any liability for the delivery if the recipient is not in at the delivery address to receive the item, then the replacement of any perishable items may incur additional charges. Gift Cards
Protect your gift card and treat it as cash, the balance cannot be returned if the card is lost or stolen. Your gift card can only be redeemed for the options listed on the appropriate card carrier. Your gift card expires 3 months after purchase. Gifts or experiences must be chosen or booked within this timeframe. The validity of your gift card cannot be extended. Your gift card cannot be refunded. Your gift card is not a credit, debit or cheque guarantee card. Your gift card cannot be exchanged for cash and is not reloadable. Experience Gift Cards - On redeeming your experience gift card, you will be sent all the booking information you require to book your chosen experience. You then have 15 days to book a date for your experience with the operator. The experience must be booked within the 15 day period but does not have to be taken during this time, so we advise you to book your experience as soon as you receive your booking details. Non Experience Gift Cards - On redeeming tangible (non experience) gift cards, you must follow the instructions on the card and make your choice within the stipulated 3 months. Your chosen gift is non-refundable and no exchangeable. Discount Codes
Only one discount may be used per order and these cannot be used against exchanges, extensions, money on account, delivery, gift packs or any other facility provided by FMI. Discounts can only be applied to internet/FB orders/offers. FMI reserves the right to stop discount codes being used against specific products. Data Protection
