Tutorial - Introduction to FloridaNatureCoast.org
A short video tutorial showing how you can use the FloridaNatureCoast.org website to help you discover places and activities on Florida's Nature Coast.
"The Wind Chime Tree", (be sure to enable sound) along the Suncoast Trail just south of Anderson Snow Park in Hernando County, was, according to an article in the Tampa Bay Times in June 2007, created by Gus Guadagnino as a memorial to his mother. This giant live oak tree with four trunks was the centerpiece for his memorial garden where he placed a bronze plaque dedicated to his mother, Josephine Guadagnino. Shortly thereafter, others began memorializing their own loved ones at the site by hanging wind chimes in the tree. Now, fifteen years later, there are literally hundreds of wind chimes here - from tiny ones barely six inches tall, to some that have tubes 4 or 5 feet long. This is an awesome unofficial memorial site well worth a visit. Come relax in the shade of this majestic live oak and soak in the ambiance and serenity it provides while listening to the constant background melody of the chimes.
