Equal Parts - Cynar, Mescal, and Gran Classico.
Add a few dashes of Angostura Orange Bitters. Shake with ice in cocktail shaker. Rim rocks glass with hot sauced and smoked salt. Pour and garnish with orange zest if you're feeling fancy. Cheers!

The Cocktail from our Living Building Challenge episode:
The Notorious F.L.I.P
1.5 oz Dark Rum
0.5 oz Amaro Nonino (or Cynar, Bully Boy, or another amaro easier to find)
1.0 oz Byrrh (or Cardamaro, another fortified wine)
1 whole, fresh egg
0.5 oz maple syrup (or 0.75 oz simple syrup)
pinch of nutmeg, for garnish
Dry shake, shake with ice, strain, fizz glass, garnish with nutmeg.

And here's the "mocktail" recipe I made for Dana during the last episode:
1/2 oz. Twisted Shrub's Blueberry Lemon Shrub
2 oz. Unsweetened Cranberry Juice
1/4 oz. Maple syrup
3 dashes Fee Brother's Whiskey Barrel-Aged Bitters
Serve with crushed ice, and pop a few fresh cranberries on top if you got 'em, just for a little pretty.
Hey All, here's our Hot Buttered Rum recipe from our most recent episode on Multi-splits(serves 4):
2 cups water
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (fresh is yummier)
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup dark rum (I used Meyer's)
Bring water, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt to a boil in a 1 1/2- to 2-quart saucepan over moderately high heat. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking occasionally, 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in rum. Serve hot.

The latest Episode is up! We had a great guest, Dana Fischer, on to discuss the cold climate multi-zone heat pump "problem". For those of you who don't know, These systems are being specified and installed across the cold regions of our country without a clear understanding of how to properly size and configure these systems. Tune in and make sure you know the latest!
Also, Let's see if we can get Phil to post an actual recipe for hot buttered rum (with measurements and everything). (And maybe that delicious mocktail as well!)
