Ome Food Souvenir Shop
I went shopping at "Itoen" in Ome City in mid-August.
This shop has a wide variety of processed plum foods, many of which cannot be purchased at supermarkets in Tokyo.
You can visit this shop on Tama Travel's Ome plan.
Yashima Marsh (Nagano Prefecture)
I visited Yashima Marsh in Nagano Prefecture with my family in mid-August.
There are no such vast marshes in highlands in Tokyo.
Day lilies were also in bloom.
Lunch at Koshinkan
In mid-August, I went to Koshinkan in Mizuho Town with my family and had lunch at Cafe Storia.
We ordered a cream stew set, a quiche set, a hamburger steak set, peperoncino, cream soda, and more.
The main house of the Yoshikawa Eiji Memorial Museum
The main house, Western-style building, storehouse, and Nagayamon gate of the Yoshikawa Eiji Memorial Museum, which I visited in late August, are registered as tangible cultural properties by the nation.

I visited the Yoshikawa Eiji Memorial Museum in Ome City in late August.
I enjoyed the large garden while walking along the promenade.
The garden was well maintained.

Sumiyoshi Jinja (Shrine )in Ome-juku
When I was strolling around Ome-juku in late August, I also visited Sumiyoshi Jinja.
Photos of festivals and haiku poems are posted on the sides of the approach to the shrine, and two cats welcome you.
If you climb the stairs to the main hall, you can see the view of Ome city.
Apparently this place is also known as a filming location for "Chihayafuru" and other dramas.
Walking around Ome-juku(Ome City)
I walked around Ome-juku in late August.
The townscape is reminiscent of the Showa era.
There is also a wooden bus stop.
There is a building called the Showa Retro Product Museum and the Showa Lantern Museum, but both were closed when I visited.
"Tsurukameya" in Musashikoganei
The other day, I went to the ramen shop "Tsurukameya" near Musashikoganei Station with my family.
We ordered gyoza, fried chicken, soy sauce ramen, miso ramen, Taiwanese ramen, and extra large tsukemen.
It was delicious as always.
Wasabi-Duke (Pickle) Shop in Ome City
When I visited Ome City last week, I stopped by a wasabi-Duke (Pickle) shop called Kaneko Shoten.
There were many different wasabi pickle products on sale, but I bought "Wasabi-Duke 127g Cellophane Wrapped" for 300 yen.
When I got home and ate it with rice and chilled tofu, it was very delicious. I was told that it's best to store it in the freezer.
I bought a Hotman towel
I bought a face towel at the Hotman factory shop in Ome City last week.
Hotman is a towel manufacturer with its headquarters in Ome City, and they have created a system of integrated production where all production processes can be done in-house.
I bought a face towel called "One Second Towel" that absorbs water in one second. When I bought it, they gave me an original Hotman braided cord as a bonus.
Kanyo no Sato in Hinode Machi (Town)
I went to "Kanyo no Sato" in Hinode Machi (Town) the other day.
Unfortunately, it was closed, so I just took some photos.
It seems that you can taste soft serve ice cream made from local Jersey cow milk, as well as local agricultural products and specialties.
It also seems that they have an alkaline simple hot spring.
And from the parking lot here, you can see a two-story school-like building. This is apparently the building of the elementary school that used to be here.

Sakanaen in Hinode Machi (Town)
I went to Sakanaen in Hinode Machi the other day.
It was a Tuesday so it was closed, so I just took some photos.
Here you can enjoy stream fishing in the Hirai River, a fishing pond, barbecues, and there is also a restaurant.

Hinode Machi's delicious food store
When I visited Hinode Machi the other day, I went to a store called "Otama Umaimono-kan."
They sell delicious foods from the area. I bought smoked cheese and smoked cashew nuts.
They also sold Hinode-chan cookies.
Hinode Machi (Town) Tourist Information Center
I visited the Hinode Machi Tourist Information Center the other day.
Inside the mountain hut-style information center, there were various pamphlets and the mascot "Hinode-chan."
You can also rent bicycles here.
Hinode Machi (Town) Farm Produce Direct Sales Center
I visited Hinode Machi yesterday and stopped by the Hinode Machi Fureai Farm Produce Direct Sales Center.
It was around 9:30 a.m., but there were many customers there looking to buy fresh vegetables.
Next to it is the Hinode Economic Center Grim, which sells agricultural supplies, groceries, daily necessities, flowers, and more.
The Hinode Machi Tourist Association Information Center is also located on the same premises.

Musashino Udon Restaurant (Koganei City)
Last week, I went to Musashino Udon Takekuni, which opened in Koganei City in February 2024.
The interior of the restaurant was modernly decorated and clean.
We ordered "Large Nikujiru Udon ( Meat Broth Udon)," "Medium Nikujiru Udon," "Kake Udon," "Tempura Assortment," and "Fried Chicken."
Nikujiru Udon is the same price regardless of the amount of noodles.
The tempura assortment includes shrimp, squid, maitake mushrooms, and many seasonal vegetables.
The restaurant is located about a 12-minute walk from the north exit of Kokubunji Station on the JR Chuo Line.
Dessert at Cafe de Kouemon
I had lunch at Cafe de Kouemon in Higashiyamato City last week and then had dessert.
We ordered a matcha frappe, an apple pie, and a matcha parfait.

Pink crape myrtle flowers were in bloom on the premises.
We ordered the Japanese-style pasta set with summer vegetables and bacon, the carbonara set, the European-style curry set, and the keema curry set.
Sarusuberi (Crape myrtles) in Koganei Park
Yesterday I went to Koganei Park.
Pink and white Sarusuberi (Crape myrtles) were blooming in the park.
There were also a few sunflowers in bloom.

Higashifushimi Station
When I visited Higashifushimi Inari Jinja (Shrine) and the Sh*tannoya Iseki (Ruins) the other day, I stopped by Higashifushimi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
There is a monument statue of the Sh*tannoya Iseki in the rotary in front of the station.
There is also a red torii gate on the road leading to Higashifushimi Inari Jinja.
Tanashisan Sojiji
After visiting Tanashi Jinja (Shrine) the other day, I also went to the nearby Tanashisan Sojiji.
This temple is also known as "Tanashi Fudoson" and is apparently selected as one of the 100 most scenic spots in Tokyo.
The zelkova tree standing in the temple grounds is one of the largest single-trunked trees in the Tanashi area.
It is located about a 6-minute walk from Tanashi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
Tanashi Jinja (Shrine)
I went to Tanashi Jinja (Shrine) in Nish*tokyo City in late July.
Even though it was a weekday, many people were there to pray.
The grounds are dedicated to the Five Dragon Gods, who are said to improve all kinds of luck.
Daikoku-sama and Ebisu-sama are also enshrined here.
There is also the "Taiho Dohyo (Sumo Ring)" which is associated with Taiho, the great Yokozuna of the Showa era.
It is also said that the writer Itsuki Hiroyuki once lived under the floor of this shrine when he was a university student.
This is a shrine where you can make many discoveries.
The shrine is located about a 5-minute walk from Tanashi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
Sh*tanoya Iseki (Ruins)
I went to the Sh*tanoya Iseki (Ruins), a nationally designated historic site in Nish*tokyo City, in late July.
It is said to be one of the circular settlements of outstanding size and content in the southern Kanto region from the middle Jomon period (about 4,000 to 5,000 years ago).
A pit dwelling has been restored on the ruins grounds.
The site is about a 7-minute walk from Higashifushimi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
Senbon Torii (Higashifushimi Inari Jinja)
I recently visited Higashifushimi Inari Jinja (Shrine) in Nish*tokyo City, and behind the main building there are 18 sub-shrines.
The area is lined with vermilion torii gates like a maze, resembling a Senbon Torii (Thousand torii gates).
Higashifushimi Inari Jinja (Shrine)
I went to Higashifushimi Inari Jinja (Shrine) in Nish*tokyo City in late July.
This shrine was established in 1929 as a branch of Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto.
The vermilion shrine building stands out beautifully against the greenery of the grounds, and it has been selected as one of the 100 New Tokyo Views.
The shrine is located about a 7-minute walk from Higashifushimi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
Rokudoyama Park
I went to Rokudoyama Park in Mizuho Town in late July.
The view from the observation deck, which was selected as one of the "100 Best Views of Mt. Fuji in the Kanto Region," was amazing.
This park is also famous for its cherry blossoms, with 100 mountain cherry trees blooming in spring.

Cafe in Koshinkan (Mizuho Town)
The cafe Storia is located in Koshinkan, which I visited last week.
You can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee and a meal while looking out over the beautiful garden and listening to classical music.

Mizuho Town Social Education Facility Koshinkan
I went to Koshinkan in Mizuho Town last week.
The Keyakikan is on the same premises.
Koshinkan is surrounded by a wall and consists of a magnificent main house and two storehouses. It is surrounded by a forest and retains the appearance of an old house in Musashino.
In the garden, you can enjoy about 140 kinds of wildflowers that bloom in each season.
Chinese restaurant in Higashi-Koganei
The other day, while walking along the shopping street from the south exit of Higashi-Koganei Station, I found a Chinese restaurant called "Genki Shokudo" and had lunch there.
I ordered a mapo tofu set meal for 759 yen.
They offer free refills of rice, so I was full.

Hossawa-no-Taki (Hossawa Falls) Hossawa-no-Taki in Hinohara Mura (Village) is one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls and is known for freezing over in the winter, but it wasn't frozen when I visited the day before yesterday. However, the mountain path to the waterfall is pleasant and the water at the waterfall's basin is clear.
