Friends, guests, guests that have become friends - this message is for you.
The Valley Overlook is back open for business and we need you! We need you because Western North Carolina desperately needs you. So if you have stayed with us or anywhere else in the region and have a deep love for the area - this post is for you. It’s time to come back and show the love. Spend your money at all the local shops, restaurants and breweries that you can because they need it! Stay with us or another local favorite. We all hope to see you soon!

This crew from JLL in Charlotte drove in Tuesday to help us clear the last of the debris from The Valley Overlook. Fifteen huge truckloads later and we are ready to welcome back our first guests since Hurricane Helene rolled through on September 27th.
Welcoming folks back to the area is tricky business. We appreciate our guest’s interest in staying and spending their hard earned dollars in our local shops and restaurants! WNC needs it!

This weekend’s dream team. A huge shout out to our hardworking brother in law, John Tunney, that came into town to work like a dog. A hardworking dog.
We are making progress. The huge upside continues to be the generosity of spirit so many have shared. We are so grateful.

Not all heroes wear capes. These awesome humans worked all day helping us make progress in what sometimes seems like an overwhelming path forward. Love and appreciate you and the ever steady Ned! We know how lucky we are💕. Hip Little Cabin on the Hill is going to make someone a fine home when we are done.

Started an educational walk through Historic Grovemont Village with the yoga loving rabbit , strolled through their car museum (I’ll take the 1957 Eldorado please!) and learned about Edith Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Industires and the fine handwoven wool they made, and met some very cool people.
