We Want Adventure is a project by Pieter and Mandy. Early 2014 we quit our jobs and left our home in the Netherlands for a life of adventure and new opportunities. We bought two motorcycles and went on a road trip to Mongolia. We crossed 16 countries in three months. We called this photography project We Want Adventure. It was an amazing adventure and also the start of a new life for us. We wouldn

’t go back to our old lives in the Netherlands after completing our road trip to Mongolia. No, this road trip would mark the beginning of a new life: the life abroad that we had been dreaming of for a long time. After our motor adventure, we traveled to Nepal where we lived and worked for almost a year. During that year we also made two trips to India, exploring Northern India on a Royal Enfield Bullet motorbike. End of 2015 till may 2016 we traveled through Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and drove a Royal Enfield for two months in North East India. We Want Adventure is not a one-time project or a simple holiday. It’s about taking on new challenges and experiencing new adventures, while capturing those experiences through the lens and showing them to the world. Our goal is to take traveling to the next level.

The backwaters are a stretch of lakes, canals and lagoons located parallel to the coast of the Arabian Sea. Lots of people living on places only reachable by boat.

We Want Adventure

We Want Adventure is a project by Pieter and Mandy about three things we love: travelling, photography and motorbikes. Preferably, all at once: travelling through a for us strange country on a motorbike and making photo’s of these adventures

Mandy is a international freelance photographer. In addition to many far away trips, Mandy is always on her way to her next job. Although specialized in bridal photography, Mandy also has a active commercial portofolio and offering courses on the entrepeneurial side of being a photographer, which is named Migaki.

Pieter works as Retail Manager at Motozoom, with three stores and a webshop the largest motorcycle wear and accessories store in the Netherlands.

This adventure started early 2014 when we bought two motorcycles and went on a road trip to Mongolia. We crossed 16 countries in three months. We called this photography project We Want Adventure. After that adventure, we travelled among others to Nepal, India (on several occasions) , Australia, Myanmar, Thailand and South America (Ecuador, Peru and Colombia).
