Three pro-am teams are battling within IRC Super Zero; Johannes Schwarz Farr 70 Ocean Breeze (AUT) is the most southerly of the trio and is the closest to Grenada. RP 70 Green Dragon (SUI), skippered by Benedikt Clauberg is just behind. Farr 65 Sisi, skippered by Oliver Kobale is chasing Ocean Breeze and Green Dragon. The 2024 edition of Les Voiles de St. Barth is cancelled. They couldn’t find a title sponsor.

Chers amis des Voiles de St. Barth,

C'est avec un profond regret que nous vous annonçons l’annulation de l'édition 2024 des Voiles de St. Barth, prévue initialement du 14 au 20 avril. Après de multiples négociations avec un futur partenaire titre, celles-ci n'ont malheureusement pas pu aboutir, du moins pour cette année. Nous tenons à vous assurer que cette annulation n'a pas été décidée à la légère. Nous avons exploré diverses options et solutions alternatives pour garantir la tenue de cette édition.

Nous comprenons l'importance de cet événement pour la communauté de la voile internationale et pour vous tous, passionnés de ce sport. Nous sommes tout aussi déçus que vous de devoir renoncer à cette édition, mais nous restons déterminés à œuvrer pour assurer la pérennité et l'organisation des Voiles de St. Barth dans les années à venir.

Sachez d’ores et déjà que l’ensemble de l’équipe est au travail pour l’organisation de l’édition des Voiles 2025, du 13 au 19 avril et nous comptons sur votre présence pour cette prochaine édition.

Dear friends of Les Voiles de St. Barth,

It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2024 edition of Les Voiles de St. Barth, originally scheduled for April 14-20. Our numerous negotiations with a future title partner were unfortunately unsuccessful, at least for this year.

We would like to assure you that the decision to cancel the regatta was not taken lightly. We explored various options and alternative solutions to try and ensure that this edition could go ahead, but to no avail. We are convinced that this enforced pause will only strengthen our determination to come back stronger for future editions.

The entire team is already hard at work planning for the 2025 edition of Les Voiles, scheduled from April 13 to 19, and we're counting on you to be there.

Join our delivery onboard Volvo 65 Sisi from Genoa in Italy to Alicante in Spain. Start in Genoa from Friday the 24th of November and arrive in Alicante on Tuesday the 28th of November in the afternoon.

You need to have basic sailing experience, and you will be an active member. You will be assigned a task based on your sailing experience.

The 15th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 starts from Antigua on Monday 20th February 2023. The 600nm course circumnavigates 11 Caribbean Islands starting from Fort Charlotte, English Harbour, Antigua and heads north as far as St Martin and south to Guadeloupe taking in Barbuda, Nevis, St Kitts, Saba and St Barths.

Johannes Schwarz’s Volvo 70 Green Dragon (AUT) took Line Honours in the 2021 RORC Transatlantic Race. This year, Johannes was on board, but the skipper was the youngest in the race; Cathal Mahon from Galway Ireland. Green Dragon completed the race on the 19th of January in just over 11 days. Green Dragon was over-subscribed for charter guests resulting in the maximum number of crew allowed under IRC racing the boat. Twenty-one crew, many of them making their first RORC Transatlantic Race, were on board. The multinational crew came from 12 different countries. Two cases of beer were required for the thirsty arrivals!

In the VO65 fleet, the top three teams are within 40 miles, with WindWhisper leading Team J**O and Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team. The leading trio is due to arrive in Cabo Verde on Saturday, with Austrian Ocean Racing powered by Team Genova and Ambersail 2 several hours back. Viva Mexico is now in the Atlantic but over 750 miles behind.

Alicante Race Start - Sunday 15 January

The Ocean Race is split into two classes: the 5-strong IMOCA fleet will race around the world competing for The Ocean Race Trophy; while the six VO65s will race in Legs 1, 6 and 7, making up the three stages of the inaugural edition of The Ocean Race VO65 Sprint.
