The Old City is not an unchanging historical monument and its four quarters are home to a wide swath of people. We will meet people from many of the world’s oldest religions including Russian Orthodox, Armenian Orthodox, Ethiopian Copts, Syrian Orthodox, Greek Orthodox, Jews, Muslim Arabs, to name some of the major groups living within the Old City walls. And, moreover, they all peacefully occupy

an area of just one square kilometer as they carry on in their daily lives and many holidays and festivals – which we can witness during a tour of the area.
