ABWA Southwest Florida Council Celebrates ABW Day, Sept. 23, 2023.
The Southwest Florida Council of the American Business Women’s Association invites the community to an ABW Day celebration, Saturday, September 23 from 10am to 2:30pm at Heron’s Glen, 2250 Heron's Glen Blvd. North Fort Myers, FL 33917.
The event includes networking, luncheon, vendor booths, raffles, prizes, and an inspiring program featuring Yajaida Aristhyl, APRN. Funds raised will help local business women to pursue their professional development goals.
ABW Day is an annual, nationwide day of recognition of the accomplishments of women in business. This year’s event, themed “Navigating the Storm”, also celebrates the resiliency and triumph of the people of Southwest Florida as they recover from the devastating effects of 2022’s Hurricane Ian. Nautically themed attire is highly encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes. The Southwest Florida Council will also name a new Woman of the Year and name the winner of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Keynote Speaker, Yajaida Aristhyl, APRN is the founder and owner of Suncoast Medical Group in Lehigh Acres, specializing since 2014 in providing medical care to underserved populations. Her passion is advocating for accessible, sustainable, and quality global healthcare, focusing on prevention and wellness. Aristhyl speaks nationally on health and empowerment and is involved with multiple nonprofits locally and globally, some of which provide health education and scholarships for women in Tanzania, Africa who are pursuing a nursing career.
