This past weekend, I sent out an email about the hotel for the ones that are on my email list. Remember let me know if you guys are coming at least a day earlier and what hotel you will be staying in.
We will be staying at Embassy Suites Convention Center in New Orleans. Hotel.com has a better rate than their site.
I wanted to remind those of you who have not booked their airfare to Hurry. The closer you get, the higher the prices. Remember your return flights shouldn't be booked too early in the morning, the ship gets back in the morning and has to clear customs.
For those of you who are going on the Nachi Cocom excursion (WHICH IS EVERYONE, WOOOOO HOOOO), Let me know how you want to pay for it and Aaron "Having Cobale Enterprises pay for it" is NOT an Option.
Go to Carnival.com, set up your profile and add your booking number. You will need to print boarding passes and luggage tags from that site, prior to getting to the cruise terminal.
Regarding money needed on the cruise. The only thing that you need money for on the cruise is:
•Tips (Carnival adds Tips to your room $10 a day per person). For those of you who have kids, go to Guest Services on the cruise, sometime while we are cruising, and have them remove the tip for the children. You can also adjust that tip amount up or down, it is up to you.
•Alcohol - But guys, the veteran Jessie and the Cruisers have gotten to be PROS at smuggling liquor on board. Please reach out to Richard, Emanda, Christina, etc. for tips and tricks. Carnival lets you bring one bottle of wine on board, but that is it.
•Soft Drinks - But Lemonade, Punch, Tea, Coffee are free. If you must have a Coke, or other Soft Drink, think about purchasing the unlimited soft drink package. But Guys I have never missed my soft drinks on board. At dinner, if you ask for a Coke, the bar will charge you. If you ask for Lemonade or Ice Tea it is free.
•Specialty Restaurants, etc. The Supper Club, The Starbucks-like Coffee Shop and certain Bars and Restaurants will charge, but there are tons of food options that are free and unlimited. The buffets, the delis, Room Service (Hmmmm Emanda and Malissia with that chocolate cake from room service - Memories), the burger bar, pizza, etc. ARE ALL FREE. Believe Me, you will not be HUNGRY
•Casino - I didn't think I needed to tell you that you needed real money in the Casino, but you never know.
•Store and Shops - If you want to buy souvenirs DUTY FREE - You need real money guys.
•Excursions - You don't have to purchase Excursions for our 3 ports. You can stay on the ship or get off the boat and just walk around. At some ports, you can walk to beautiful beaches and chill.
•After hours babysitting. Camp Carnival will entertain your kiddiesboos for free during certain hours of the day, but if ya'll mommies and daddies, want to party at the club, casino or comedy clubs into the wee hours of the morning, you will need to pay them or arrange for sitting opportunities with the teens that are cruising with us or the OLD people that go to be early on the ship. DON'T LOOK MY WAY YA'LL.
I will be sharing Suggested packing lists with you and if anyone has any questions, please let me know.
