We haven’t posted much this past year, we are currently living aboard our boat in a marina in Florida, and we are both working part time and enjoying our time here. Now that the holidays are over, decisions are being made for our next adventure. We have decided to take this year and get our new (to us) boat ready to cruise to the Bahamas next year. This boat is an amazing live aboard boat but the previous owners never left the slip, so our goal during the next year is to add batteries, solar, anchor chain, new anchor and water maker, so we can spend 6 months of 2024 in the Bahamas! We will keep you posted on our boat projects - stay tuned!

My back is achy, my knees are killing me, but I finally feel like I am making some progress on getting our new boat where I want it. In between loads of laundry I cleaned both heads, the salon and the dinette from top to bottom, every wood surface, every wall, every window. Tomorrow I will tackle the galley and both staterooms, love having a bigger boat but it’s more to clean lol

Mystic Pearl, soon to be named something else, successfully in her berth in Fort Pierce after a ten day passage from St. Petersburg.

Yesterday was a little hectic on the water, we left No Name Harbor in the morning headed to Lake Worth. We started out inside the ICW looking for fuel. After fueling up, we went out the Fort Lauderdale inlet trying to make up some time. After about an hour, the weather was getting windier and the water very choppy, so we decided to turn around and go back to the Boca Raton inlet to go back inside the ICW. We then realized we wouldn’t make Lake Worth before dark so we called around to marinas and were able to get a side tie at a marina in Delray Beach. The good part is my daughter goes to college 15 mins away and was able to meet us for dinner. We went to downtown Delray and had a delicious Italian dinner ❤️. Today we leave Delray and make our final leg to Fort Pierce!
