THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN LOOKING FOR AN AFFORDABLE TRAVEL/ BUDGET TRAVEL

1) VISA- Is it free?
-Visa requirements and travel documents vary from Country to country.
-Visa can also be quite expensive depending on the country you're from and country you're visiting.
-Some visas take a longer time to process, others take a shorter time. If you're up for an impromptu vacation you might consider this.

2) MODE OF TRANSPORT:
- Can you travel by road? Are there flight tickets or any ongoing promo?

3) SEASON - Is it travel season in the place you want to visit? Eg. December is high season in Mombasa,Kenya hence prices are higher.
Besides the prices, some activities are availed depending on whether or not they expect high traffic in that season.
When its low season, you can end up swimming with turtles all by yourself 😜

4) Part 2 coming up shortly!

5 things about Kampala

We are now on tiktok 🎉🎉

I'd like to highlight my visit to Nyungu ya Mawe. Beautiful forest. Great fish. Mini Ziplining available. Great place for hanging out with friends or to take a nature walk with your partner.
It is here that I witnessed very well coordinated party goers. They arrive carpooled in buses and Nissan's already pre-gamed with alcohol. The stage is high enough so that people from different areas of the forest can see it and the speakers good enough to hear the music from any section of the forest. I happened to visit on a day there was some sort of BBQ festival though I left just as the troops were coming in their shorts and Tees.

I'll definitely be going back. More videos on the comments section.

When Nairobi is rainy and extremely cold, a budget friendly trip to Kampala is needed.
Transport - I used Mashpoa from Nairobi to Kampala. It had 3 slots but these seats fill up very fast. 4:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm. I took the 6:30pm Normal seat at 3000 Kenyan Shillings and was in Kampala by 9am.

Accommodation - I got an abnb by the very reliable Bagzy of Bagzzys Place. He has 2 abnbs but I took the one in Najjera. It is a 2 bedroomed house.

Meals - Food in Kampala is quite affordable. There are many street vendors that do chips and chicken. Rollex is equally a must try in Uganda. There's the original version sold by street vendors all over Kampala that go for as low as 1500 UGX and the modern ones. I tried the modern ones at Ugaroll. I took the medium sized one and was completely full.
