The region is filled with natural beauty as well as Aboriginal and Australian heritage. It is home to a tantalizing mix of contrasts which makes this region unique amongst Great Sydney and New South Wales. The Ha

Edit: it appears the BoM gauge at Nth Richmond is faulty. See our most recent post.

The river levels are falling across the system, and most importantly at both the river crossings. Richmond bridge will be below the road height this morning, so should be re-opened today (depending on any damage or repairs required). Our gauge deck height doesn't seem to be synced with the image of the bridge from Live Traffic.

Transport NSW held their nerve and didn't close Windsor bridge, even though the river there did get slightly above the past level at which it closed.

Gorricks Lane is showing as closed on Live Traffic, but access is still available via Hibberts Lane.

Warragamba Dam flows will be reducing as the level there has also continued to drop.

We'll publish details on peak heights a little later.

Windsor Bridge is still open to traffic 7.40am.

What a beautiful day today at the 2023 Hawkesbury NAIDOC Concert at Richmond Park and what a beautiful way to kick off the beginning of NAIDOC Week.

Thank you to Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury INC and everyone involved in organising such a deadly event and for having DCAC there for yet another wonderful year of celebration of our beautiful Culture.

The theme for this years NAIDOC is “For Our Elders”. How very special to have so many of our beautiful Elders there today especially Dharug Elder Aunty Edna Watson who was able to attend and have such a beautiful time within our Community and with some of our littlest Custodians.

Aunty Edna has been involved with the Hawkesbury’s NAIDOC event since the very start. From humble beginnings, it was lovely to have her there for one of the biggest events to date surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Aunt is pictured here with her great granddaughter- Lyra.

The Hawkesbury’s NAIDOC is getting bigger and better each year. If you weren’t able to make it this year, we hope to see you there next year!

A full house, lots of lovely comments and a fantastic starting point in what’s going to be a fabulous journey at our new home.

We are taking bookings for the upcoming weekend but will be leaving tables for those last minute dinners.

Big shout out to Josh, Georgie, Caylem, Lyle, Hayden, Amanda and Sharon who have done an amazing job in getting our new kitchen up and running in just 2 days. It’s a massive effort for a very enthusiastic crew.

MISSING DOG YOSHI

We don't normally do missing dog posts because, well, quite a few do go missing and most turn up but we're making an exception this time because the folks who own Yoshi, a male Chow Chow, only just moved into their new home in Bowen Mountain on Monday and it's not the best of starts in the new neighbourhood, so let's all help.

Yoshi went missing from Lt Bowen Drive yesterday. He is a large fawn coloured dog with a blue tongue and he's wearing a blue collar. He is a bit timid with males.

If you see him or find him, please call the owners on 0408 238 959.

We have a gorgeous farmstay and we are looking for a relief manager. It would be about 3 days each time, and we would provide accommodation.
