Hi to these glorious sunny days lately! ☀️✨ Don’t be afraid to book a little later now the days are lengthening. Our 6-10pm slots are filling up and it’s a glorious time of day to be out on the water. Also, we are happy to be sharing the harbour with this stunning vessel, the James Craig. Built in 1874 she’s a rare 19th century tall ship and we always love seeing her out and about! A bit of Sydney magic ✨

What a day for it! We are so happy the Sydney to Hobart got off the starting line this year, despite covid. One Ocean charter guests today could have almost jumped onboard the maxis 😅 Fair winds and following seas to all participants!

The side of charter boats that is less instagram worthy. Appropriate waste management is really important to us!

♻️ 99% of what One Ocean party’s generate is recyclable, since we use reusable cups and kitchen ware. A lot of cardboard, a lot of glass, and several hundred aluminium cans per weekend.

Frustratingly, it’s not easy to find ways to recycle it all. Return and earn is great, and Luna is loving helping out with that job on Monday’s. Paper we can drop off for free in these huge inner city landfill bases (see second pic), but 🍷 and 🍾 bottles aren’t accepted anywhere. For now we use friends yellow bins, but it’s tedious and disappointing there’s no easy solution.

It takes time and effort. But throwing it all into landfill (as most other charter boats and ferry’s do) is just not an option for us. It’s not the picture-perfect side of a day out on the water, but it is important, and we want you to know we are taking our waste responsibilities seriously!

Final charter before baby = done!! ✅ ✅✅ Thanks for holding on little dude 👶🏼 and letting us finish up on such a beautiful day! ❤️🥰 Also a HUGE shout out to our amazing crew for smashing this busy season out for us, and to Marc for skippering 99% of the 101 charters we booked! 🥳 Now for a rest ... and a baby! 💥
