Setting my Out of Office automatic reply in Outlook...such a small task, but oh so exciting! It’s something I constantly look forward to. It tells the world that I am packing my bags, shutting down the work laptop, and going off the grid for a while! No more emails or phone calls to make, no more meetings to attend....its a much needed breath of fresh air that makes my heart beat just a little bit

After graduating from college and starting a job in the consulting industry, I realized that if I was going to work in an office all day, the only way to see the world was to book a flight and explore. I wasn’t going to accept seeing the world through my computer screen anymore. Long weekends and PTO became my best friend. Quitting my day job to go travel the world isn’t for me, like it may be for some brave souls. You don’t need to quit your 9-5 to travel the world. You’re never too old, too broke, too busy to jump off the hamster wheel (for just a week or two) to go out and see the world. Goodbye cubicle! I am OUT OF OFFICE!
