Evergreen Snowmobile Club EGS Club always welcomes new members and looks forward to meeting new people. Our club is always growing and we would like to have you as part of it.

New members are not required to live in IL. and in fact we do have members from WI. Welcome to Evergreen Snowmobile Club. EGS Club is a family orientated club and has been riding since 1966. The club plans numerous outings during the winter months. These trips are normally in the WI., MI., IL. area but the club is also known to travel to locations such as Yellowstone Park and some members even hit

the Canadian tours. (Snow Train) These outings have formed many new friendships and memories. and in fact we do have members from WI. So, no matter where your from we would love to have you and your family come join in the fun. If your interested in joining please click on the new members page and follow directions. EGS had its second meeting of the season last night. Thank you to everyone who attended. Our new board members have chosen some favorite locations for this year's trips. There are 5 trips planned for this year. Starting with
Baraga Michigan Jan 8-12 followed by,
Boulder Junction Wisconsin Jan 22-26th,
St Germain Wisconsin Feb 5-9th,
Watersmeet Michigan Feb 19-23,
the club will be wrapping up the 2024/2025 season in Munising Michigan March 5-9th.
We encourage you to book your rooms early. Cancelation policies for each hotel are posted in the monthly news letter.

🤔 So, had this guy pull up this morning after seeing trailers out back......Says he works seasonally. Wondered about getting a membership form to fill out for EGS Club......He claims he knows people in the weather field 😏 Well if ya have any pull by all means fill out the app ASAP!! 1-2 inches of lake effect, with a few potential areas of 3-4" but this should be quick hitting and not last long into Wed afternoon. Still may pick up a half-inch to 1 inch Wed night into Thurs morning in areas. Following this lake effect event Thurs temps look to fall into the mid teens in some mid central UP locations.

WATCHING: Next system I am watching may bring us a nice cold air mass starting on the 9th, this could bring some significant lake effect snowfall, possibly our biggest storm of the season yet. With the cold artic mass and moisture from storm system moving into the Great Lakes from the Gulf we could see both lake effect and system snowfall. Stay tuned for updates!

Jacobsville sandstone cliffs from the Baraga cliffs. Jacobsville sandstone was used in many buildings across the UP and even in places like Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, and New York. It is very weather resistant sandstone, it can sometimes be found in foundations of mine buildings in the Copper Country as well.

We are opening our trails with EXTREME CAUTION! There is zero base so you will encounter water holes and possible down trees with the heavy snow! There will be no grooming.

Pay attention to neighboring clubs and know where you are as they may not be open!

Stay on the trails and be safe!
