Cappadocia (Turkish: Kapadokya) is an area in Central Anatolia in Turkey best known for its unique moon-like landscape, underground cities, cave churches and houses carved in the rocks.🤩
The name Cappadocia derives from the Persian word Katpaktukya, which means ‘the land of beautiful horses’. There are as many as 600 churches carved from the soft Cappadocian rock, and possibly many more that have not yet been discovered. The region of Cappadocia is a large grape producer and it’s believed that wine-making has a long history here.🍷☝️
Yes, it's expensive but Cappadocia is one of the cheapest locations in the world to experience a hot air balloon ride. It may be cheaper than the most but it is definitely the most beautiful one.❤️
Cappadocia breaks record in tourist numbers with over 3.8 million visitors.✈️
