Have you ever dreamed of experiencing the enchanting Christmas Markets in Europe? I certainly have! I am excited to announce that I will be embarking on a river cruise in November 2025 to explore these festive markets across three beautiful cities.

I will be sailing with Riviera River Cruises on the Danube Imperial Cities & Yuletide Markets itinerary, departing on November 27, 2025, for a delightful five-night journey. This solo cruise offers the unique benefit of single occupancy cabins at no additional cost, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for each traveler. The cruise will be a roundtrip from Budapest, with visits to Bratislava, Slovakia, and Vienna, Austria. Additionally, we plan to spend a few days in Budapest prior to the cruise (group options will be offered later).

I would love for you to join me on this adventure! We have formed a group with the cruise line that will provide exclusive amenities, including onboard credit and group discounts, making our travel experience even more enjoyable.

If you would like to bring along a spouse, partner, sibling, adult child, or friend, that is certainly welcome! Each person will have their own cabin, allowing you to choose your sleeping arrangements.

Riviera River Cruises is known for its exceptional service, offering all meals, at least one excursion in each port, and unlimited Wi-Fi. They will also include a free Superior drinks package (beer and wine at lunch and dinner, evening cocktails) for us for our cruise.

European Adventure!
Have you thought about going on a European river cruise, but didn't know what the experience would be like? I am going to 2 river cruise expos
in Amsterdam, where I will tour and eat on ships from 12 different cruise lines (sleeping on 3 of them). I will then do a river cruise from Amsterdam to Belgium, travel through Germany, Czech Republic, and take another river cruise on the Danube from Budapest to Vilshofen, Germany!

The Virgin Voyages ships all look the same, which makes it easy when you sail on different ships. A couple tips - there are no "maps" that are easily found, just signage showing on which deck things are located (watch out for the dead ends!) but you can ask for a deck plan at Sailor Services (Guest Services). At the port, there are towels that you can take with you so you don't have to take from in your room. Want more tips? Contact me!

And if you're into Fitness, SO many options! Lots of equipment on the upper decks, completely separate running track (no having to yell to walkers to move aside), and yoga and other classes (complementary) every day!

Every Sea Terrace stateroom on Virgin Voyages cruises has a hammock. Best. Thing. Ever. So comfortable! Just wish there were 2! You can also buy them in the gift shop to take home.

I don't usually post photos of cabin bathrooms, but this one was unique. We upgraded to the XL Sea Terrace, so when you walk into the bathroom area on one side is a sink, and on the other side 2 doors - one for the shower and one for the toilet. SO easy to have 2 people in that area at one time! I would definitely go XL Sea Terrace from now on!

My two European river cruises (Paris to Normandy on the Seine, and Frankfurt to Amsterdam on the Rhine) were my two favorite vacations with my husband. Our family cruise in Alaska and our 3-week European trip tie for favorite family vacations.
