We had such an interesting night last week, when we ventured out of our comfort zone and went to the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy at the Marion Theater in Ocala, FL. Can’t say we knew anything about Edgar Allan Poe, other than he was dark, deep, kinda strange, and the drinks looked like they’d be amazing. And who doesn’t want to go to a historic theater to see something like that?! 👻✨🖤 We got more than we expected! The performances were off the charts, amazing. If this speakeasy passes through your town, take our recommendation and DEFINITELY go. Ocala is growing, and with that comes a ton of new things to do. Tomorrowland at night, in general, is our favorite. We even have a special spot that we watch the fireworks from, to miss the castle crowds. Magical Forests🙋🏾♂️💁🏼♀️🚐💨🩵🌲This is one of our favorite little nature trails in the White Mountain National Forest area! The trail crisscrosses and walks along side of the Pemigewasset River, with small falls, flumes, and a giant pothole known as “the basin”. The trail is easy, short, picturesque, and absolutely magical. It’s actually part of Franconia Notch State Park! The National Forest and NH state parks seem to overlap a lot in this area, and one is not better than the other here. Both of these entities hold endless possibilities of so many trails and falls to explore throughout the white mountains. This 215’ high natural bridge is a limestone gorge carved out by Cedar Creek… BY A CREEK! US Route 11 passes directly over it which speaks to the incredible strength of the bridge. It was amazing and gorgeous and all of the things but there were a ton of SNAKES! Anyone who knows Ben, knows he can’t handle snakes and heights. To his defense, there were A LOT of snakes, to the point that I was waiting for one to fall out of a tree, and land on my head like we were on some jungle cruise on the Amazon or something. If you’re in the area, it’s a must see, but prepare for the snakes. 🐍 😂
