Another hidden gem of Parma.. The Petitot Gallery, a treasure preserved inside Pilotta monument 🤩🤩
It's so amazing when your city is able to move you...even if you have seen her masterpieces many times! It was a while that I wasn't entering into this fantastic gallery of Palatina Library and.. it's always wow..really wow!

I'm so lucky..🙃 I work hard but often it's like to be on vacation! Saturday I did with Villino di Porporano an amazing cooking class at her enchanting place😍 followed by a wine tasting to let the guests know more about local wines.
For me it was really like to spend an evening with friends, talking and laughing🤩! For sure, no doubt about that, the Host, Elena (Villino di Porporano) is the number one in welcome and her Villino is just perfect!
But I always feel so blessed to do what I do.

Do you know what is this????🐮🧀🐮 This a plate of grilled Parmigiano Reggiano cheese rinds! Yes, rinds! The whole cheese is tasty! Do not waste the crust! Come to see how is made and then let's have an aperitivo with the grilled rinds and a good glass of Barbera wine!

The smiles of this picture perfectly explain why I ❤️ my job sooo much! This wonderful couple from Sydney visited Parma with me in 2016 and we immediately became friends! So they came back in 2019 to say Hi! And they talked so much about the experiences we did together, that their friends asked them to do the same!! So...in 2023 we did it!! Another beautiful day and more Friends!! This is really the best part of my job.. 🤩

Time for Vin Santo!! Do you know that in the hills of Piacenza there's an hidden sweet gem?? It's called Vin Santo di Vigoleno! Vigoleno it's the cutest village on Earth...just 45 min from Parma, It has a XV century Castle and my fav romanesque style church dated back XII century!
And... It's the only place where it's possible to grow specific grapes that thanks to magic environment, passion and experience of less than 8 producers are transformed in the smallest DOC wine of Italy: a fantastic dessert wine - passito full of notes of chestnut honey, raisins, spices, liquorice and...more and more! Come to visit, understand and taste!! Xmas period is exactly when it's time to press the grapes after a looong natural drying process! So... Prepare your visit! Vin Santo di Vigoleno needs at least 5 years of ageing...you have plenty of time to plan your experience 🙌😂

Details..🔍details of something really special 💎 hidden in the very important S.John Monastery of Parma.. This is where, starting from the second half of XVI century, many future Benedectin monks where trying to unrich their souls with a very deep knowledge.. Remember: not too slow🐢 and not too fast⛵... The right balance ⚖️ is always the key for everything.. don't you think?

Great experience today in Parma Hills! Truffles hunting first with the magic and super cute dog Lola (🧡) and then amazing lunch based on truffles!!!

Yesterday I took two fantastic people from NY in a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese dairy to learn as much as possible about cheeeeese! At the end we had to taste it...such a tough life 🙄🙄🙄😉🤪
