Disney is rolling out a new “skip the line” option beginning October 30th. The Lightning Lane Premier Pass will let guests bypass the standard queue for every attraction one time without the need to schedule a return time. Initially this will be a very limited rollout and will only be available for guests staying at a Deluxe Disney Resort. The cost will vary by date and park, ranging in price from $129-$449 per person, per day!

When I began hearing rumors a couple months ago about the possibility of a pass like this, my initial response was “Take ALL my money - this sounds amazing!!!” But I have to admit - the pricing has me a little 😳

So what do we think? Is this something you’d think about adding to your Disney vacation? And more importantly, do you think it’s something I can convince my husband we need to buy on our next vacation in the name of “job research”??

With the reimagining at Animal Kingdom, it’s time to get in one last visit for your little Dino fans before permanent closures start on January 13th!

Also make sure you hop over to Magic Kingdom to take one last ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad before it closes for a lengthy refurbishment!

Breaking News!! It’s a big day for Disney World announcements!

Beginning July 24th, the current Genie+/Lightning Lane system will be revamped with lots of new changes including pre-selections!

This is a great example of why it’s so important to book your Disney vacation through an authorized Travel Agent. My clients can sit back and relax while I learn all the ins and outs of this new system, instead of figuring it out on their own. They can rest assured that they’ll have all the information needed prior to their vacation to make sure they have a truly magical time!

The holidays are hands down my FAVORITE time to visit Walt Disney World! And since we’re officially Halfway to the Holidays, Disney has announced all of the amazing events they have in store!

🎄My favorite event is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom where you’ll experience special holiday overlays on some of your favorite attractions, special shows, an unbelievable parade and all the free cookies and hot cocoa you care to enjoy!!

🎅If Holiday Glam is more your vibe, you won’t want to miss Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios where guests can enjoy delectable treats, amazing entertainment and special character meet and greets!

🤶Over in EPCOT be sure not to miss the International Festival of the Holidays where you can immerse yourself in holiday traditions from around the world. And don’t miss the Candelight Processional featuring a list of guest narrators throughout the season!

Special event tickets will go on sale to resort guests on July 2nd and to the general public on July 10th so if you’ve been waiting to make your holiday plans, now is definitely the time!

Ride details have been released for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! If you missed the earlier announcement, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open for guests on June 28th. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will use a Virtual Queue, which guests will have a chance to join at 7am and 1pm. It will also be available as a Lightning Lane selection on Genie+.

No official announcement yet on whether or not Tron will remain as a virtual queue so stay tuned, especially if you’ll be visiting Magic Kingdom in June or July.

Opening day has been announced for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Splash Mountain has always been one of my son’s favorite rides and I can’t wait to see the transformation! Stay tuned for details on how you’ll be able to experience this new attraction and what it may mean for other Virtual Queues and Indiviual Lightning Lanes at Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney World is celebrating Halfway to Halloween by releasing details for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! This is a super fun, special ticketed event at Magic Kingdom on select nights. Tickets go on sale May 8th so if you don’t already have your resort stay booked, let’s get you booked soon so you can take advantage of the pre-sale dates!

If you’ll be visiting Disney World during these dates but not attending a party, make sure to keep the party dates in mind as Magic Kingdom will close to non-party guests at 6:00pm on these days.

I’ve had lots of new follows lately, so today seemed like the perfect day to share my story of why I decided to become a travel agent and focus on helping people plan perfect Disney World Vacations for their families.

This picture is from way down memory lane when these two babies had no idea what their futures held. They didn’t know that they would bring two beautiful baby girls into the world. They didn’t know that their time together would be cut so drastically short. They just knew they wanted to spend the day at Disney World. So they did.

When our oldest was 2 and our youngest was just 7 weeks old, we received the devastating news that Bill had gastric cancer. We vowed then that as soon as he was better we would take the girls to Disney World to celebrate. While he was in remission for a bit, because of his surgery and treatments he never felt good enough that we thought it was the right time to go, so we waited. In February, 2009 we received the news that his cancer had returned and he’d be starting treatments again. We knew then that he was feeling the best he would, so with his oncologist’s blessing, and the help of a great travel agent, we planned a last minute Disney World vacation before his treatment began. We arrived in Disney World on a Tuesday night and were excited to take our princesses to Magic Kingdom the next day to see Peter Pan (Lacey’s favorite) and the Princesses (Kayla’s favorites). However, this dream didn’t happen, as Bill passed away suddenly in our hotel room on Wednesday morning.

Bill loved Disney, and I vowed to myself that I would make sure that our girls had more than enough wonderful Disney World memories so they could still have that love too. Thankfully, when God blessed us by bringing Nick into our lives, he wholeheartedly jumped in to make sure this was a vow to the girls I could keep. He works endlessly hard so that we can take the kids to Disney World every year and help them make amazing memories.

I admittedly don’t remember all the details that went into getting the girls and I back home to Kentucky that day, but I know without the help of my family and friends working with our travel agent it would have been much more difficult.

Disney World, and the memories we’ve made there, will always be an important part of my family’s lives. And it’s this reason that I love helping other families plan their Disney vacations. Getting to be a part of helping other families make their own memories brings me true joy.

Today, on the anniversary of Bill’s death, I’ll remember the life we shared and I’ll be thankful for every minute we had. But I’ll also spend time being thankful for the life I’m blessed with now and the memories that I know will still be made, in Disney World and beyond.
