When you travel to “downtown “ Griffin… Murphys is the place to go for great food. We so enjoyed their luncheon menu to celebrate Laura’s 12 th birthday.

Our last day on Barcelona after the 3 weeks in the Mediterranean and such a great time now we are shifting our focus to the Christmas markets in Europe travel on both the Rhine and the Daniel so stay tuned more to come

Let’s go SE Asia

This Tuesday night I will be making a presentation on Southeast Asia, where I just traveled as part of my work on the Cruise Ship. I will cover the economic "boom" that is taking place, as well as the many reasons this part of the world is becoming the "place to be" for many travelers. Specifically I will cover Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the "best kept secret".....Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur.
This part of Asia is absolutely beautiful, and when you then look at the history of the area with the temples, the wide variety of cultural changes, and the strong influence of both England and France, you will see why this is the next big "travel destination" for many. This is part of the Learning in Retirement program for SCP and, as written in "The Buzz", you should find this very interesting, informative, and fun to see the many sights of this unique part of the world. The Sun City Peachtree Travel Information Club (TIC) is a chartered club of Sun City Peachtree with a goal to provide local, national and worldwide travel information, news, events, and opportunities for travel to all interested residents. The TIC meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at the Amenity Center. The annual membership fee is $10.

The April meeting is April 13th, and the program, which is open to all members and guests will be "Italy, from Top to Bottom". The Travel Information Club President, Ron Largent, who is a professional Cruise Ship Speaker-Lecturer will make the presentation, and will cover the major cities and areas of Italy, including Rome, Cinque Terre, Sicily, and Venice.
The Social Hour begins at 6:30 PM and the presentation will be at 7 PM for an hour. Members of the TIC are free as are first time guests, who are very welcome.
