• Cruise operations not directly impacted, with next scheduled sailings Thursday
• Icy road conditions
- Port offices closed today

PORT UPDATE
• Pilots suspended service likely until Wednesday morning-afternoon, due to road conditions.
• Stevedores have suspended cargo operations. They will assess for later on Wednesday.
• Road conditions around the port complex are icy.
• Cargo/lay vessels are standing by for arrival
• No direct impact to cruise operations. Next vessels scheduled for Thursday.

WEATHER UPDATE
• Winter storm warning ends at 6 p.m. today
• Cold weather advisory through Wednesday morning
• Extreme cold watch through Wednesday morning
• National Weather Service Update - Snow will likely continue through 11 a.m. before tapering off.
• Temperatures on the island will slowly warm to 36/37 degrees before returning to below freezing overnight. Temperatures should return to above freezing shortly after sunrise. Roadways look to remain icy until mid-morning Wednesday.

CRUISE UPDATE: We have been asked about the winter storm impact on Galveston cruises. Here is the latest information:

CARNIVAL CRUISE:

Carnival Breeze left Saturday 1/18 for a 5-night cruise and is scheduled to return on Thursday 1/23.

Carnival Dream left Galveston on 1/11 on a 14-night cruise that is schedule to return on Saturday, 1/25.

Carnival Jubilee left Galveston yesterday on a 7-night cruise that will return next Saturday, 1/25.

Carnival Miracle left Galveston on Friday for a 9-night cruise that is scheduled to return on Sunday, 1/26.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE:

Disney Magic left Galveston this morning on a 5-night cruise with her return scheduled for Friday, 1/24.

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE:

Norwegian Prima left Galveston on Friday on a 14-night cruise that will return on 1/31.

PRINCESS CRUISES:

Regal Princess left Galveston this morning on a 7-night cruise and will return next Sunday, 1/26.

ROYAL CARIBBEAN:

Harmony of the Seas left Galveston this morning on a 7-night cruise and will return next Sunday, 1/26.

Jewel of the Seas left Galveston on 1/13 on a 10-night cruise and is scheduled to return this Thursday, 1/23.

Mariner of the Seas is scheduled to return to Galveston tomorrow morning and then depart in the afternoon on a 5-night cruise, returning Saturday 1/25.

AT THIS TIME, ALL SHIPS AND ITINERARIES ARE SAILING AS SCHEDULED. We do not expect any impact on the ships returning next weekend. The ships scheduled to arrive on Thursday should also be able to dock - the question will be the condition of the roadways in and out of the port and Galveston island.

SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE: Due to the coming winter storm, Houston's two airports, Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and Hobby (HOU) will both close indefinitely at 12:01am Tuesday morning. This will impact inbound and outbound flights at these airports and across the nation.
