Personally, I love wintertime in the mountains, so I try to plan a ski trip for myself every year. If it's going to be cold outside, I want to be in the snow rather than stuck inside because no one at home knows how to drive in these conditions.⁠⁠

But I can't deny that there are days when it would be nice to fly south and just sit by the pool in the warmth of the sun. I'm certainly more relaxed and less sore after a day at the beach compared to one on the slopes.⁠⁠

So why not both? Let's take the idea of après to a whole new level by following up a few ski days with some margaritas by a pool in Mexico! ⁠⁠

Like many of you, I've stayed close to home since March. I haven't felt comfortable being out and about, so promoting travel hasn't been a priority. Because Covid requirements and guidelines change daily, I've struggled with how I can relay responsible messaging. But it's a new year and I'm choosing to be optimistic about travel in 2021 and beyond. ⁠

Four years ago I decided to follow my passion for travel and join . It was certainly a departure (pun intended 🛫) from my career as an engineer, but getting to know this industry and the amazing people that work in it has been incredible.

Each January, my fellow Smarties and I come together in NYC to meet with the best partners in the biz. It’s an action-packed few days of learning, networking and socializing 🥂 with talented and creative people. Being part of such a collaborative group and personally getting to know industry leaders across the globe makes me better as an agent.

Since the only travel I’m doing right now is virtual, I’m revisiting photos from my fall trip to Barcelona. I love the uniqueness of this city, known for it’s modernist architecture, Gothic Quarter, waterfront and delicious food.
