I was born and raised in Evergreen Park IL, adjacent to Chicago. I credit my father who was part of a team that wired the John Hancock tower and elicited many of his creative and artistic talents as a tradesman. John was a Chicago architecture enthusiast who took great pride in giving my siblings and I narrated tours of the city that included the lighthouse and the history of the famous Chicago Wa
ter Tower. Those stories from my father sparked my intrigue of the Old Water Tower in addition to the great sites and landmarks of our great city. My family on my mother’s side; "Flynn family" also has a lineage for architecture especially Grandpa Flynn. He owned & a granite quarry in Wisconsin that supplied pavers for some of the integral streets of Chicago. These streets included portions of Buckingham fountain, State St., Lower Wacker, & Archer Ave. Although I’m a new mixed media artist and I have been dabbling in design, decorating, & children’s art for 25 years.
