Alaska Airlines and Hawaiin Airlines move forward with their 1.9 billion deal. The DOJ did not object because there is minimal overlap between the airlines’ networks.

Under the merger arrangement, Alaska plans to keep the Hawaiian Airlines brand distinct, a nod to the brand's power in Hawaii, while running the two carriers as a merged airline with centralized scheduling, a single loyalty program, and interchangeable aircraft.

Beginning, April 10, 2024, the Government of Brazil will reinstate a visa requirement for all U.S. nationals visiting Brazil, with an option for an e-visa for qualified applicants. This date reflects a three-month postponement announced on January 4, 2024. Currently, the visa fee is $80.90.

Starting January 10, 2024, all U.S., Canadian, and Australian
Citizens will need a visa to enter Brazil. The Brazilian visa will be valid for 90 days. It can be requested for tourism, business, study, transit purposes, artistic or sporting activities, among other unpaid activities, or for those with no intention of residing/immigrating to the country.

The request can be made online or in person at a Consular Office.
