What a wonderful day, it poured last night but today was dry with mostly sun, as requested by yours truly.
Accompanied by Larry and Nora and Kane and Steve who are boarding Azamara Onward tomorrow, we went of on a full day tour. Rain threatened but held off and stopped for each visit😁❤️

Gillian and John, English globetrotters came with me yesterday before boarding a cruise ship later in the week
Great day out and about and though the weather said 90% chance of rain... Not a drop was seen😁

Today the Viking sky was in port so I took Russ and his lovely lady all around Tahiti and we collected scraps for a competition to build a raft, got lucky with some bamboo, rubberplant aerial roots, coconut fiber and sticks. Its a sure thing to float with the bamboo

L haven't done a tour in French for a couple of months!
Yesterday I had a private full day tour with M/M Cartier and Andre disembarking the Paul Gauguin, we were supposedly on Orange alert for rain but as usual the meteo were late to the party and there was no rain to be seen, it's no wonder no one here takes any notice of the alerts.. it rained the night before! Some of the sites that were supposed to be closed were actually open and there were locals and visitors everywhere especially as the Vasco de Gama was also in port and many were on tour . Anyway in typical polynesian style we all did our own thing! Arts n craft shops were open too❤️

The Patels are visiting to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, we did an afternoon tour of the main island, weather was mixed but then it always is here.

The rainy season is here, so we went to the museum of Tahiti first😁 then we managed to visit Vaipahi before the rain hit hard but Vaimahuta was enormous and blowing a gale and Venus Point was washout so i'll post what it looks like in good weather😁

Aida Sol a German cruise ship comes to Tahiti every year. I saw the ship arriving this morning off the northern coast as I left home, they are here tomorrow too.
Picked up Laura and her friends and their mums for a tour in the afternoon, all were my daughter Tahiata's age except the 2 mums so that was a change. They spoke excellent english! Good job as my German is limited to ich liber dich 🤣

So yesterday was with Christine who is married to a polynesian from the island of Rotuma about 500kms from Fiji, I'd never heard of it! A volcanic high island with a coral reef, pop. 1500 souls, close to Fiji but Polynesian, so many similarities, fascinating afternoon with them

So Sunday was supposed to be my day off. It was not to be, 3pm on Saturday the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa call me for a tour, then 6pm an Airbnb booked the morning for Octavian and his brother, then Stephanie Sent an email... ended up with 2 tours then the afternoon cancelled and I moved Stephanie and her family forward. Exhausted but it was a great day enjoyed by all
