We became great friends, and had many adventures of our own. Even in our pre-teen years, we always had the aspirations of becoming independent adults. Our dreams are remarkably becoming a reality, now that the 46 foot sailboat Selah has been purchased. Our goal is to set sail from San Diego, CA (location of Selah), across the South Pacific and finishing our expedition on Brisbane, AU. The Crew:
Cale Haugen & Zach Francis (16), Grayson Haugen (19), Jason Francis (18) Hunter Haugen (23), and the Captain: Jeff Francis (49). The majority of the crew is inexperienced, give or take one or two escapades on the water. Jeff Francis sailed around the world as a child, instantly making him the authority and coordinator. We plan to stop very frequently. The more recognized bodies of land are:
