We had planned to launch the Chester War Tour tomorrow on Remembrance Sunday however not, due to editing delays, it has been delayed by about a week or so. Nevertheless it is coming to www.livehistory.co.uk soon, courtesy of Voice Map, a downloadable app for your phone. All you'll need is a set of ear plugs and you can explore Chester in September of 1914. Join Charles Smith, Arthur Eccleston and Chief Constable Lane on an investigation like no other. Discover a local home front during the First World War as you glimpse historical images and hear local actors bring to life the voices of those living here in 1916. In the meantime, we would recommend a visit to the Cheshire Military Museum. Tomorrow we remember the sacrifice of those men, women and animals that have given their lives in the world wars and since. Rest in peace, we will never forget you.
