I need a nice long stroll somewhere new to me right about now! This was in Spain (did the flag give it away?! 😋) and was the perfect day to just walk and walk until you just needed to sit in the new scenery. I don't know what it is about travelling and walking around new places, but it's just when I feel happiest...anyone else? 🤷‍♀️ 👇👇👇⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today is Chilean Independence Day 🇨🇱 and I'm sorry to be missing the celebrations! For those that don't know, I studied abroad in Chile and then returned to teach English a few years later. It holds such a special place in my heart- the people, the views, the food, everything about it is amazing. I would live there again in a second. If you haven't been, I really suggest you consider this underrated country! For all my , feliz 18! Les extrano tanto!⠀⠀⠀⠀

How cute is mama in the back?! 😍😍 This was in 🇨🇳 a few years ago when I was lucky enough to go on a trip for school and then be joined by my sister and mom for a week. I have so many stories from this trip it should be it's own blog...but for now we will just stick to this photo of us at one night when they had a gorgeous flower wall- can't say I expected a flower wall in China, but it was awesome! Tweedledee and Tweedledum over here. To be honest I'm not the biggest animal person (don't be offended, I can't help that that's the way I am 😋). I don't dislike animals, but I'm just not drawn to them like others are. I definitely don't love when we keep animals contained for our own viewing pleasure though - unless they need rehabilitation or something. These two parrots were awesome, but I always wonder if they were as happy as they look. Can you see if a parrot is happy? 🐦🐥 ⠀⠀⠀⠀

So it's fall now right? 😜 I'll use any excuse to have a nice warm (sugary 😉) beverage! But for real though, my most basic of basic bitch-ness comes out in the fall. I love the pumpkin spice lattes more than anyone I know. And the sweaters. Boots. Scarfs. Dark hair colors. Changing leaves. So many great things! What's your favorite thing about fall? 👇👇👇⠀⠀⠀⠀

How stunning are all these natural colors?! 😍When in we were shown some of the natural ways yarn is dyed to get the vibrant colors we have come to know Peruvian textiles for. It's as basic (in the best possible way) that you can get- using what the world around provides to enhance their creations. It was a phenomenal experience to get to learn more about this artistry and see them at work. I had no idea this is how many colored fabrics were created...did you know?!👇👇👇⠀⠀⠀⠀

In the next few weeks lots of students from the US will be beginning their adventure 😬😍 They will be changed forever, make amazing memories, learn a ton about themselves and the world, and just have the time of their lives. Can you spot the stray puppy? When I studied abroad in Chile one of the things that was new for me was all the stray dogs on the streets. I didn't expect that and wasn't sure what the proper etiquette was or if I should be scared of them. I eventually learned that they were almost all friendly (although there were times I had to cross the street because there was a mean pack) and I grew used to them. My body, however, did not get used to the fleas that they and the beach carried...🤷‍♀️ 😬 so did you find the pup?? 👇👇👇⠀⠀⠀⠀

Instead of the Sunday scaries, I'm trying to remember the dreams I have and how my job can get me there. 💃It can be hard to continue pushing through the doubts and ease of just sitting back and letting life happen to me, but I know there is so much more in this world, but only if I work for it. We all have something we can work hard for that will make us come alive. Travel and the growth that comes with it is what sets my soul on fire, what's yours? ⠀⠀⠀⠀

GUESS WHAT?! I (well my blog 😜) was featured at a local Arizona WordPress group earlier this year (you can read all about my nerve inducing night on the blog- link in bio!). Wordpress is the platform my blog runs on and I spent many nights staring at my computer trying to figure out how to make it work. Then came the WordPress Community to the rescue in helping me learn the baby steps I needed to get the blog up and running. Every day is still a process, but at least I now have my people! Thanks to all who are helping me along the way! 🙌👏🙌

Have you ever spent the evening just sitting on a bench watching the world walk by you? 😍 I think there is something so calming about taking some time to just sit and take in the view. It's one of my favorite things to do in a new place, especially around water- just sit and enjoy my new surrounding. Ok this is more of a pun for but it's so cute. Plus I love miso- one of my biggest dreams is to spend a month (at least!) in Japan eating all kinds of interesting things and trying miso everything! Who's coming with me to this beach?! 👇🏽😜 This was in the a few years ago on an awesome sailing trip with a friend and her family. I still can't get over the water. Not only was it so bright, it was super clear and so refreshing! I would swim in it every day if I could 🏊🙂 The perfect place to remember on !⠀⠀⠀⠀
